Good quality

Works great for keeping the toddler entertained while traveling. Definitely recommend buying the colored one to use on an airplane. It helps it to be noticed in the seat back pocket so it doesn't get forgotten.

Product dimensions are box size and not the size of the DVD player

We nearly did not purchase this DVD Player because the product dimensions of 16.5 x 3 x 8.7 inches in the Amazon description are near the upper limit of what is acceptable for our portable needs. But on receipt we were pleased to discover these measurements to be box dimensions and that the DVD Player itself is only a much smaller 10.25 x 7.5 x 1.75 inches. We had considered buying a carrying case, but the shipping box is more than sturdy enough to prevent damage in transit. On viewing a DVD our initial impression was of a disappointingly bright display lacking the expected resolution, but closer inspection revealed that the display is acceptable when viewed in front as intended, and only appears somewhat washed out and less sharp when viewed at wider angles. Overall very pleased and expect to find many uses for this player!

Lovely Purchase

I bought this as a replacement for an extremely old model from another company that finally stopped working. I needed something that would play in the car and that my son could operate while I'm driving for a long distance move happening later this month. So far, I have not been disappointed. The unit came fully charged, included a miniature remote and game controller and some additional connecting cables plus its AC adapter to charge. Even better is that they were having a promotion, so I got the DVD player and its holder that straps on the back of a headrest for a very reasonable price. The operation of the DVD player is very easy. It loads fairly fast and I love that it has a swivel base so it can compact into a smaller space (or it's holder) for hands free viewing. This player plays DVDs, copied DVD-Rs, supposedly plays those placed on USBs and possibly SD, but I haven't had the opportunity to test the last two as most of my films are on disc. So far, it's been a great product for the price I paid.

Happy with it so far

Happy with it so far! My 4 year old was excited that it was his favorite color. The size is fantastic for travel. We are traveling by train so compact was a good thing. Picture clarity is good. Comes with a car charger which is fantastic.

Great features for the money.

GAve it to my grandson for his airplane ride from west coast to east and back, and he loved it. The color is nice because he lost his black one in a plane pocket and this one stands out more. Screen color and features are great and the 8 year old gives it a two thumbs up!
