My cat has a habit of pulling so hard on scratching posts that she pulls them over on herself if they are tall. Or she wont use scratching posts if they're too short (she is a tall kitty). I am pleasantly surprised that she has not been able to pull this one over on herself and it seems to be holding up to her constant scratching well.

I was hesitant to buy this because some people reported it showing up wayyyy too small, but I decided to take the risk and THANK GOODNESS I did! It took me about 3 minutes to put together and my 2 cats were immediately all over it!! The hammock is super soft, the scratching posts are well made, and they are loving the toy attachment! It’s a good height and the hammock can accommodate them both as they nap together.

I have the most prissiest cats in the world. They dont like many things at all, but they love their scratchers! I have gone through TONS of cardboard scratchers, I'm talking hundreds of dollars spent on them. Even the twine rope doesn't last with them! But this thing is so durable, and sturdy. My big girl (shes about 17 pounds) gets all fours clawed into this thing and it doesn't turn over or anything on her. They claw at it all day long and it hasn't torn or left any mess in my floor to clean up, unlike other scratchers! This thing is totally worth the money!

This took me less than 5 minutes to put together---very easy. I showed my cats how to use it one time and they love it. They seemed really impressed with how they could do a full stretch while they scratched it. I'm hoping it helps distract them from destroying our couches. It looks nice in my house--I want happy cats but at the same time, don't want it to look like we live in a cattery. Very happy cats and even happier cat mom.

I've purchased several different scratching posts for our cat in an attempt to get him to stop tearing up our furniture but he never pays any attention to them at all. Not even when I cover them in catnip... He prefers the corners of the couch. Until we purchased this scratching post.... It took him all of 5 minutes to warm up to it and now it's his favorite thing. He loves the little hammock on top and the toy attached to it. And the best part? He uses the scratching posts instead of my couch! Woooo! Very happy with this purchase

A few months ago I purchased the Trixie brand of cat hammock that looks very much like this only there is a shaggy fur type material covering the hammock and hammock base, where as this one has just a soft, low pile material. Also the poles that the hammock was attached to were one solid piece each. The poles that make up this Amazon Basics brand hammock are 2 shorter pieces each, with a wooden ring that has the same material around it that makes up the hammock. This ring connects the two shorter pieces together, and those connected pieces screw onto the base. The hammock screws onto the top of the poles. The reason I purchased the Amazon Basics brand was because the Trixie brand was sold out, however, if comparing the two, I do prefer the Trixie brand because I feel the solid one piece constructed poles on their model would last longer than the Amazon Basics model that uses a 3 piece pole construction. Don't get me wrong, it also feels solidly constuctedbonce everything is put together but I feel more parts, means more opportunity for breakage. Obviously, only time will tell though. To sum things up, the Amazon Basics brand does seem to be equally as sturdy as the version from Trixie and it looks to be about a half inch to an inch taller than the Trixie brand version, which so far as I can see, makes no difference to my cats. My 3 furbabes seem to be quite satisfied with both of them and considering, I paid the same price for both of then and they both seem like nice cat hammocks, I am satisfied as well. Especially for the price. I will update should one of them break before the other. FYI, the first 3 pics are of the Amazon Basics model, while the last pic is of the Trixie version, in case anyone would like to see the real world difference. Anywho, I hope you find this review helpful!

We had a three level cat tower that my cat suddenly stopped using. He wouldn’t lay on it at all. I guess he got spoiled by couches and beds. 😂 The only thing he used on the cat tower was a scratching post that was low to the ground. We decided to get rid of the tower since it was pretty big and taking up to much space. I was going to buy a more expensive scratching post but decided to give this one a try. My cat loves it. He can stretch all the way up and still scratch away. The carpet is super soft on the base. His little paw lift a print on the carpet when we first got it. ☺️ Definitely recommend it. It’s such a great deal and it’s the same as the expensive ones.

Obviously, I'm not the one using this, but I'm the one who paid for it and the one with opposable thumbs so I'm the one writing this review. I have linen-type furniture, very modern looking, and two 4ish month old kittens. They're both boys, and they both like to play fight. They also like to use my furniture like a tree, but since I introduced the scratching post, they've mostly left my furniture alone. I read what felt like a million reviews before settling on this post mostly because 1) it isn't awful to look at 2) it's a pretty good size especially for two growing kittens 3) it seemed to be sturdy unlike those little pole looking things and 4) I read that the sisal on this one is "softer" which is more like the fabric of my furniture and supposedly cats like it better. Well, I know all cats are different, but this one works for mine. I didn't even have to use any kind of incentive to get them to use it.

We have two wonderful cat children, a large grumpy older orange tabby and a tiny rambunctious black cat. They destroyed their previous posts, so it was time for an upgrade, and boy are we happy we went with this thing! They immediately switched to scratching the new posts, but the real hit was the hammock! Over all of their other favorite sleeping spots, the hammock is now their favorite! They playfully fight over it constantly, and it's become the center of their socialization. The large tabby barely fits but still loves it, and the tiny black cat barely fills the center. Excellent purchase!

My cats love this. It is the tallest one that we have and it really let's my big boys get a good stretch.
