Teeny tiny power
I love it!!!!! My old phone was having serious issues and the battery was running down like crazy. If I plugged it into any 12v adapter and used it at all, the battery would discharge more quickly than it could charge. One day I was leaving work late for an appointment, and I didn't know how to get there, or even what the address was, and of course my phone was dead. I couldn't even call to cancel the appointment (and I didn't know the number anyway). In a moment of desperation I realized I could charge my phone with a wall charger in my giant Black & Decker inverter, and life was good again. I've been charging that way since, even though I got a new phone. It works better for me. For my purposes, this inverter is an upgrade over the other one in almost every way! It is maybe 10% of the size of the Black & Decker, it looks less conspicuous, it doesn't beep at me, it is nicer-looking, it's red, etc. I would prefer a longer cable so I could have more places to stow the inverter while I'm using it, but it's small enough that it isn't really a big deal. The B&D was always sliding around and falling under the E-brake and whatnot, then it would beep really loudly when it got jostled too much and the connection failed. The new inverter tucks away nicely if you have room near the 12v outlet. The Buy What inverter is great if you just want to plug in one lower-power AC device and two USB devices, which is the most I usually need on a typical day. (For camping, I would prefer an inverter that can power more demanding devices.) My B&D inverter was more versatile and powerful, but it was oversized overkill for me most of the time. It was possible to connect it directly to the vehicle's battery with included hardware so you could power more demanding devices. It also had a 12v outlet on the front so you could use the vehicle's 12v outlet to power the inverter, and you'd still have a 12v outlet available for other 12v devices. With the Buy What inverter, if you only have one 12v outlet, you won't be able to plug in any other 12v devices at the same time. For instance, my sister uses a 12v Bluetooth radio adapter so she can't listen to music from her phone on her stereo if she uses this type of inverter. I know it's obvious but I thought I'd mention it because it didn't occur to me at first, and buying a new Bluetooth adapter can be expensive. Anything you plug into the front will be sticking out unprotected at a right angle, which makes it easy to knock out of the outlet, especially if it's already loose. If it's a larger plug or it projects downward (like a lot of the old wall wart types), it will stick out below the bottom of the inverter. The weight will rest on the bottom of the plug and push the inverter upward, which might push the plug out of the outlet, or damage the plug/cable. So that's why it would be better to have a longer cable on the inverter to give you more choices in where you keep the inverter. Not a dealbreaker, just something to plan for (and it may mean you can't mount the inverter flush to the dash with double stick foam tape). The Buy What inverter has a little cooling fan in the back and a metal body that dissipates heat. It's very small so it would be easy to let it fall in a crack or get covered by your coat or something which would cover up the device and block the fan, and possibly damage the device. No problem there, just something to keep in mind! Honestly one of the biggest sells for me is that the unit is so small and so inconspicuous. It looks nice but not super flashy. I was always worried someone would see the big orange and black B&D inverter in the passenger seat of my car and break in because they thought it was something expensive. (The cable was too short for it to go under the seat or anything and I don't have the wherewithal to hide it every day.) This one looks like the phone charger or auto power accessory that it is. I love this inverter and I'll be glad to have people stop complaining about the old one :)

Perfect and Amazing !
Well made, this is a great option for emergency power! I ran a router, small led Tv, refrigerator, led light and phone charger for about 3 hours without any warming. Would recommend!

Perfect
I used this recently on a cross country trip that took several days and it was exactly what I needed. I was able to keep my laptop, Kindle, and two cell phones (Samsung, and iPhone) charged for the whole trip (although it did require swapping - only two usbs). Apparently put out plenty of power, and one of the phones was in constant use as a GPS device.

Strong for the price
It was very easy to install. I've used it daily for basic needs. This unit can and has ran a small fridge and freezer for a while now. It seems to handle it well.

Great performance and value!
Just what I needed. I'm able to quickly charge my MacBook, iPad, and iPhone all at once from my car's cigarette lighter while on commute! It saved me a few times already. I had a different one in the past like this, but this one gives me confidence that it has the power to do the job well and safely. It also runs cooler and quieter than I expected, given the heavy load it has to take. It's worth the price. Highly recommended.

Great for the price
Use this unit to power grinders, saws, drills, even water pumps with no problems. For the price a definite win. Have owned a 3000w for years with no problems.

bought this to power a bulb
i feel that i have never stressed this item. powered a 15w bulb the entire night and thats pretty much it, has never failed, but I can't say i have ever stressed it enough to make it fail. but i don't buy things to make things break. so i'm happy with it.
