Great for the future

This is the new future it is the best I love it good quality picture and it is excellent for watching movies on Netflix now I never have to go to the movie theater and deal with long lines and talking people during the movie

You have to buy most of the games on the oculus store to really enjoy it or useAltspace and YouTube

It's really great as good as I expected it to be works well for my note 8 only thing I dont like is that it drains the battery and phone may get too hot to operate depending on what your doing but other than those it's really fun

A great way to enter the world of vr

A great way to enter the world of vr. I absolutely loved this thing the picture quality inside the headset is crystal clear and the product feels lightweight so I felt very immersed and comfortable in the vr.( I would recommend to use headphones for a more immersive experience) however the remote was pretty useless and I had great difficulty trying to pair it with the headset I eventually just stopped trying to use it which didn't bother me since I mostly use this to watch youtube or movies in vr.

it's really fun but it truly true that people that have epilepsy or seizure should not use it my friend had bad seizure when he used it so i send it back

I have it heres the real information about this unit.

So that we get the basics out of the way, this unit can fit the Galaxy note 8 and 9 cause I have the note 9. It comes with the USB type C connection for the device. It you need the USB mini purchase an additional adapter. This unit will kill your battery on the phone but the view is awesome. Try testing out the virtual roller coasters or scary virtual tours. You cannot wear your glasses while wearing the the vr but you can adjust the view. You can plug in headphones while playing the unit yet bluetooth headphones would be better. The remote control is a wireless device that comes with the unit and it provides a nice alternate to using the glasses to navigate. The remote control won't work on every application though like samsung vr videos. The virtual reality will transport you into a different environment. Even if you know you are within your living room it will still feel like you're in another location. It would be best if you do this in a rotating chair if not, then standing up and turning around is ok as well just try not to walk or move your hands to touch stuff.

Great toy!

If you want to be immersed fully, it's a slight let down. Its hindered by your phones quality so even my s9 plus with a great display looks rather pixely. But I was expecting it regardless. Otherwise most games look quiet good since your focusing on the game rather than the graphics. Movies and shows arent as good. With that said, it's still the best VR for mobile devices, and is really fun. Horror games are still very scary and fun with family!

Samsung Note 9 usage

Everything came in the box and works great for this model. You WILL need to buy or call Samsung for a specific additional connector for this specific phone to work with it. On Amazon the piece is an additional $50. Do not buy the cheaper $50 Gear VR as it does not fit the Note 9. If you youtube video for Samsung Note 9 and Gear VR there's a video explaining all the amazing uses for this phone with the Gear VR. They were MADE for eachother! Worth the price, just wish I knew upfront all that I know now. Hope this review saved you some of the time and effort and research I went through!

Product is as advertised. I have a Samsung Note 9 and ordered the adapter from Samsung and it works perfectly with this VR! (In case anyone was wondering)
