Great for modern Country-Rock!
I purchased this pedal about five months ago and love it! I'm a Country-Rock record producer and use this pedal primarily in the studio and it has been awesome. Between the two pedals and the blending capabilities I get everything I need for a hot "bluesy" tone and would recommend this to anyone in the Country-Rock-Blues genre. Check out some of the youtube videos of this beast in action if you're not already familiar with its capabilities.

Wampler Hot Wired v2 Pedal
The pedal met my expectations and is a happy addition to my pedalboard. An excellent professional sounding overdrive & distortion pedal. My intended use is for classic rock. The controls and switches provide a range of very useable good tones. Other pedals feel like there is only 1 setting or sweet spot that is pleasing. The blend knob, sets this apart from other overdrive/distortion pedals. No power supply is provided, so plan for that.

... remember and I have to say this is the best overdrive pedal I have ever heard
I have been playing guitar longer than I care to remember and I have to say this is the best overdrive pedal I have ever heard. With the 3 band EQ and the gain control, you can get a wide variety of distorted sounds. A very nice tube- like sound. A bit pricey but in this case you get what you pay for.

It can make your single-coil Strat sound like a high-gain
Don't bother buying a separate drive and distortion pedal. The newer version of this pedal can create basically any dirt you are looking for - from a subtle mid-gain crackle when you attack the strings, to a fat, bright, dripping fuzz sound. This pedal replaced 3 other od/distortion pedals on my board. The nightlight is the "fatness" switch on each channel. Each takes the sound you dial in and tweaks the brightness and thickness of the effect. It can make your single-coil Strat sound like a high-gain, humbucking Les Paul, or it can tame that noisy guitar that you love to play, and make your metal guitar sound like a smooth, jazzy 335. All around an awesome pedal that will create any sound you ask it to and then some. It is hard to make a bad noise with it!

Extremely versatile fuzz. From mild and creamy to in-your-face, which is exactly what I wanted.
I've tried lots of fuzz pedals, and have found most to be too strident or fizzy, or just plain boring to use. This one is kind of like the King of Tone dual side overdrive, in that it's variable to the point that you can have it set low as a 'mild' creamy fuzz. Or you can crank it to full-on Hendrix. It's perfect for musicians like me who can't commit, and want a pedal for all occasions.

Great pedal for many styles
I must have read every review and watched every youtube video on this pedal to see if it was going to be right for me. I finally decided to go for it and I am glad that I did. The most awesome part of this pedal is the "blend" knob. It's like having a clean amp and a distorted amp set up in front of you and being able to mix the two. There are an infinite number of varieties of grit/overdrive/grind, whatever word you prefer. The overdrive section is great too, with lots of tone shaping via the normal/fat/fatter switches. You can get just about any lead and rhythm setup that you'd like. I now have 2 wampler pedals and have found them to be first quality all around. Great packaging and instructions as well. Amazing paint and graphics for a small shop!

Extremely versatile overdrive
Low gain to high gain with amazing clarity. Great drive with zero tone loss. I’m running it at 18v which sounds more like the drive of an amp than a pedal. Definitely hanging onto this one.

My TS9 tube screamer and OCD pedal are my main distortion pedals and I love them with the strats but with this telecaster I ...
I recently bought an American B-Bender Telecaster, my pedal board is set up mainly for the strats I play. My TS9 tube screamer and OCD pedal are my main distortion pedals and I love them with the strats but with this telecaster I wanted something where I have more control over my clean sound. I ran across this pedal and decided to give it a try after watching Brent Mason himself review it on YouTube. It has exceeded all my expectations, it is basically 2 pedals in 1!! The blend knob is one of the most useful features for me and kicking both sides on together give a very nice 'heavy' sounding distortion that I'm actually able to use out live. Most heavier distortions get lost in the mix of a whole band situation but this one cuts through and I have gotten only good complements about my tone. I'm very happy and highly recommend it if you want a nice chicken pickin" tone but also like a great over drive..... first 5 start pedal I have bought since my Keeley 4 knob compressor. They work great together!!
