Works very well

I was measuring the length of a 7 1/2 inch gage railroad track. This device was the only way to get a reasonable estimate of the length of the railroad. As it turned out the length was 1492 feet long. I was not worried about measuring to the inch. Get to the closest foot and I am only off by 0.07% and trying to use tape measure would be impossible.
