Quick and accurate distance measurements

I use this wheel for job-site-related measurements... driveways, landscape design layouts, drainage ditches, etc. It's great for estimating material use; I don't need surveyor accuracy anyway. The wheel is repeatable, though, within two inches over a 130 feet measurement. The reset lever was a bit fussy when I first began using the product. Sometimes the lever would not fully (spring) return to its normal position. Then the wheel would turn but the number readout would not change. If that happens, just reset the numbers again and firmly release the lever so that the internal gears properly mesh. After a few uses the mechanism achieved break-in, and the reset problem went away. So, I think it was probably a temporary fluke with my unit. The magnified numbers are easy to see and the kickstand is handy, too. It's great not to have to worry about batteries with this particular unit. The protective bag is a nice bonus; the wheel alone is worth the price... highly recommended.

I’m a PE teacher and I was tired of carrying a measuring tape, this product is quick, lite weight and easy to use. I would buy another if it wasn’t already sturdy and durable.
