Cheapest Complete Package

I needed a backup camera and I went with the cheapest complete package I could find. So far, I'm not disappointed. I was told that I don't need an expensive camera in the back. The viewing angles are fine. Installation was fairly straight forward once you watch a few YouTube videos on how to install one. Plugged in to my Android Head Unit without hitch. I haven't noticed any flickering like with other units I've heard about. Since I've only recently installed it, I will give my final conclusion in a few months. So far, I am impressed with it. Good value for the money. We'll see how it holds up during the coming winter months...

Great product

This is the one you want to spend the money on.

Installed this on a Chevrolet silverado. It went together with ease. Came with two different brackets and all the hardware to install. The LED are bright and the camera is clear. This this the camera you want to get.

Clear rear view

Camera works very well. The kit provides all the hardware you need to install this in even a full size truck. I had an issue with mine, but customer service jumped in and took care of my issue very quickly. These people stand behind the product.

A life saver right out of the box.

I happened to buy two back up cameras. I used my car and another generic name back up camera as the guinea pig, and this one for my 76 year old dad's truck. This one was packaged nicely. The most I liked about this was the power cord had a pigtail at the barrel plug end for the video cable's pigtail to connect to for the reverse light. The competitor's back up camera did not have that feature, which was a pain in the butt. The blue connectors did not work, so I wound up cutting and soldering the power cord into the reverse light wire just under the light bulb. At first I used the black wire from the bulb as ground for the power cord, but got a blacked out screen whenever I applied the brakes, as well as some weird darkening of the screen. It was the fault of watching a bad Youtube video. After grounding the black wire to the frame via a self tapping screw, the problem went away. I love how the video cable was plenty long for my dad's 2005 Nissan Frontier with four doors and 4 foot bed. It was upon testing the back up camera that I saw my 3 year old son waving at me with both hands. I wasn't going to let off the brake, but it surprised me how easily my dad or I could of backed into him and not even see him due to the tailgate being up, causing a blind spot. So I took a photo of the radio screen while he took off to the side. When I put the truck back into park, I opened the door, and heard him say, "Don't run me over dada!" It was at that moment that I knew this back up camera was a life saver right out of the box, as my son did not understand that I did not see him get so close behind the truck, and never heard him trying to warn me that he was back there. Him being 3 years old was the exact reason why I got a back up camera, so it would minimize a possibly tragic event. Again, I wasn't going to back up, as I was just testing the wiring and was going to put it back in park. However, it was sheer coincidence that my son inadvertently showed the reason why I think back up cameras should be put on cars more often.
