Works perfectly. Use on my stone patio and can feel no residual heat on stones while burning a large fire. Also seems to add to airflow for fire.

Efficient combustion minimal smoke and ash

Friends are amazed at the efficient way this portable fire pit burns wood completely with minimal smoke and ash. Perfect for decks, patios, and camp grounds. With the addition of the stand, the fire pit is even more impressive looking and extra safe since the fire pit bottom is elevated from the ground surface. When not in use, the stand conveniently fits inside the fire pit for ease of carry in the firepit bag so easily transported for camping, tailgating, or over to a friends house. After using, and after everything has cooled down, I turn the unit upside down to empty the ashes followed by a leaf blower to blow the orifices free of ash. Easy to do and likely a good practice. No burnt wood to cleanup since combustion is always complete down to a fine ash. Periodically, I wash down with a garden hose and detergent to keep the unit looking new. When not in use, storage in the provided bag and out of the weather is a good practice. Everyone that sees this thing in action wants one. A very good investment for those enjoy a calming outdoor fire.
