For the past several years I have been buying only Italian style tuna packed in olive oil, and my previous brand of choice was Genova. However, after trying Starkist Selects last year, I find it far superior in flavor and texture. While the Genova cans are 5 oz and these are 4.5, (yeah, the cans keeping shrinking) the net weight of actual tuna is the same - 4 oz once drained. Starkist is more tightly packed, with more consolidation of tuna meat than the Genova, which has become more flaky of late. When using on a composed salad, I like to drain the oil from the can onto my greens and then simply add lemon juice and s&p for a light and refreshing dressing. Also makes great tuna salad when fully drained of oil and mixed with s&p, a speck of nutmeg, chopped celery, Italian parsley, scallions, and Hellman's Light Mayo.

Like tuna in cans used to be. big chunks of tasty fish. Moist & meaty, I will be ordering again & again, as long as it is available.

This is what tuna should taste like. It is not really appealing to the eye but the taste makes up for it. When I was young, you could only find tuna in oil, never in water. When the water packed tuna came out, everyone started buying it to save calories and now that’s what most grocery stores sell. The taste however, makes up for the extra calories.

Love this tuna mixed with some mayo for low carb people. If you like to give your cat tuna, I wouldn't recommend this one. It's got too much oil and my cats won't eat it. Buy them the generic kind for an occasional treat instead.

This was great for my white bean tuna salad. I used the oil in the can to make the vinegar dressing. Great product and so happy Amazon carries it. Will order again.

Great flavor, and right amount of olive oil - I plop it right on top of jasmine white rice for a quick yummy meal!

For the price of one store made sub, I got two. On a tight budget. The sandwich was packed with Yellowfin - but I had never tasted it and was afraid to try it until I had tried one can for less than 1/3 the price.

Good tuna in EVOO. Easy to open pop top cans. Great flavor. I previously bought Genova but decided to give this product a try and I was very pleased.

Definitely cheaper than the grocery store this item is hard to find.

Excellent taste. Too bad not available to order anymore
