keeps my microwave clean

I keep this in my microwave to cover food and prevent splatters. It is much easier to clean this than to clean the whole microwave! The cover is adjustable to be flat, tall, or in between. I usually keep it in between. I had my office manager get one for our break room also because our microwave gets TERRIBLE and so far it's been working wonderfully! I definitely recommend this for your home or office microwave

I love everything about this cover- sure it takes some getting use to but so do a lot of things in life. People who complain about it popping up on one side really don’t get how this thing works. It works just fine and it has not melted yet (I have put it in for 5 minutes). It is machine washable and does what it was designed for. Overall, I love it and would recommend it to anyone who has two or maybe three working brain cells.

Clean way to cook or reheat in the microwave

I have been using a large tortilla steamer when heating things on plates in the microwave. But in time the oils and splatter from heating have marred the interior of the steamer to the point that I don't want to put it on the table with tortillas in it. The tortilla steamer is bulky and I usually have it stored in the pantry because it takes up so much room in the pan drawer. So I wanted something that was easy to store, inexpensive, easy to clean, and able to release the steam from reheating or cooking in the microwave but still preventing splatter. This fit the bill. The clear silicon is built like an accordion so that when you fold it up it is about the thickness of a plate (1/2 inches) so it easily stores in the cabinet with the plates. When it is new, it is a bit stiff so it is hard to get to pop up, but after a bit of use it gets easier.

Another Tovolo Win Win

Purchased for my step son and his new RV Trailer. He doesn't have much room and this helps greatly. The materials are much thicker than others I've seen and he can also use it as a strainer. I've found that the Tovolo brands are of better quality than other similar brands of items. This vendor carries great items, and I have lost count of the replacement kitchen items I have purchased. They ship on the same day most of the time, and definitely the next day when my order is posted in the evening.

No more nasty microwave splatter!

If you don't like your food splattering in your microwave, this product is for you! I used to use paper plates to cover my food while heating in the microwave to stop splatter, but it seemed like a huge waste! My roommates didn't use anything, and it always grossed me out whenever I opened the door to find food splatter everywhere. And microwave splatter isn't exactly easy to clean, either. I found these in an amazon search while looking for a solution and bought two. I liked that these ones said they were BPA free, because others I looked at didn't specify. They have been doing their job wonderfully. I don't personally use the microwave a ton, but my roommates do, and they've used the covers several times now with no mess, much to my relief! The product flattens for easy storage and the price is pretty low, too, if you can get it as an "add on", which is great. Definitely a great buy!

Works. No More Soup on the Ceiling.

So. Roommates. You gotta pick up after yourself. That broccoli cheese soup you nuked and splattered on the ceiling of the microwave? It didn't dissolve into the ether. Someone is cursing your descendants as they scrape it off the surface before putting their own dinner in. So get yourself one of these covers. Doesn't melt into the food, doesn't smell weird, and no more scraping someone's green-orange residue off the microwave when it's your turn to clean the kitchen. Plus it looks just odd enough that visitors will think someone has mad culinary skillz. Nah, just the best soup/chili/what-the-heck-did-you-blow-up-in-there screen on the market. Wish we'd bought one sooner.

Sturdy, easy to clean, easy to store

This item replaced a solid plastic non-collapsible microwave food cover, that melted when a popcorn bag was placed on top. But I digress. This thing is easy to clean, (the collapsible part is silicone, so spattered food washes off easily), and is very well made. It's tall enough to cover most plates of food, and shallow bowls. It folds pretty flat, so it can be easily stored somewhere other than in your microwave, but we just leave ours in the microwave all the time, until we need to microwave something other than a plate of food.

Good quality microwave cover

This is the second cover I have owned. My first one died after 3 years of faithful service. I bought another one because the previous one did yeoman duty for so long. The cover keeps microwaved food from spattering everywhere during use. The vents allow moisture to exit during heating, so one can avoid food explosions and messy cleanups. The cover goes into my dishwasher and comes out clean even, if there is dried food on it. I usually rinse it clean under the faucet most of the time. Warning: If you overcook super greasy foods it can melt the silicon on the area that contains a pure grease splatter. Try to avoid long heating of greasy foods, unless you don't care about smoking grease!!! Added bonus: the cover will collapse to save space in the dishwasher. The silicon folds still come clean.

Large and collapsible. Better than plastic wrap. Nice vent holes on the top.

This fits the large dinner plates and anything smaller of course. It collapses for easy storage. It isn't terribly easy to hand wash but it isn't terrible difficult either. (Expand it to clean). It has small vent holes in the top. It keeps the heat in but lets it breath when it needs to. I can't think of a way to improve it. We melted one of these by turning on a burner on the stovetop while it was sitting there. Bought another to replace it. It is so much easier than plastic wrap and I think it even works better. It does say not to store it in the microwave. We do store ours in the microwave but we don't put it in there right after it has been used. (wait for it to cool down a bit) I think they are worried that people will put it back in an empty microwave right after it has been used and it will melt. I get that. I say store it in the microwave once it cools down.
