I was looking for a kitchen island-type table, but didn't want to pay a ton of $$, so (as per usual) I wandered onto Amazon and did a search, stumbling onto this item. For the price, I wasn't sure what I'd ultimately be getting, but based on what others said, I decided to order it. It arrived last night, and I assembled it on my own in just over an hour or so (I probably could've done it in an hour flat if I'd really tried to hustle thru). The instructions were basic but easy to follow, and at no point did I get frustrated or confused (which is totally UNLIKE ME, when it comes to assembling furniture). Putting this thing together is just lining-up the right pieces, and then tightening screws with an allen wrench (which was provided) and a Phillips head screwdriver (not provided, so make sure you have one before you get to work). Once assembled, this thing feels really sturdy and solid. A good-quality affordable piece that isn't hard to put together!

Firstly, the color isn't a screamin' at you fire engine red, but a nice dark red which is what I wanted. It's constructed of solid wood which was a plus. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. My grandson calls it his and thanked me for buying it; a great snack table for him and he likes the height of the stools. The finish on the table top seems durable and looks nice. The paint was well applied. I was concerned about the stability with the top down, but the added weight of the drawers helped that. I love I can store the stools underneath when not in use. It's easy to extend and fold down. It's a great size if you're dealing with a small space and easy to move. I won't say it was easy to put together and an extra set of hands was needed to stabilize the supports while screwing them in. The instructions could have been a bit more detailed. TIPS: Put the towel bars on BEFORE the top braces and the holes in the drawer sides are for stops. Make sure they're to the back. Three screws are ample for the casters. Don't try to add a fourth. The cart was well engineered, but the holes for the casters were off and it seemed the screw holes on the barstools were drilled a bit too deep. However, no biggie and the aggras encountered while putting it together weren't biggies. It's a handy accent piece that looks a lot more expensive than it was. 5 stars for value on the money.

It is exactly what we were looking for! Solid wood construction and easy to assemble (about 20 minutes).

This is an extremely sturdy and high quality high top table that doubles as an island and storage module. Assembly was very easy. The drawer is a decent size but doesn't feel like it could hold much more than, say, 5 lbs. It glides nicely though and stays on the track no problem. I like that there is two Shelves for storage. They are decent height- can fit a cookie sheet on its side easily. Overall very satisfied with this. I shopped for an island for over a year before this one popped up and it seems this was a very good value for this type of item (I paid ~150). Only con was it took nearly two months to arrive due to back order. Worth the wait!! See photos, especially of drawer.

I can't tell you how much I love this table! It is even better than I had expected. I needed something functional because of my disabilities, but something small enough to fit into my kitchen without taking up a lot of room. I have a very small kitchen area. This table arrived way earlier than expected--expected by the 9th at the earliest but got it on the 3rd--6 days early!! It was well packaged and no damage noted, only had one screw missing but my husband could have misplaced it when he was putting it together. He had a little problem putting it together at first, but that is because he is a man and doesn't like to read directions--LOL! The table more than meets my expectations. It is small enough after I drop the leaf and put the stools back under the table to be able to place it in a small out of the way area. One thing to note that I did not notice in the picture of it. Under the table are rungs that the stools slide on instead of sitting the stools down on the shelf beneath the table. I like that because it stabilizes the stools and you don't have to worry about them falling off when you move the table around. The top of the table is very roomy after you put up the leaf. Your area is big enough to place all the things you will be working with. I am no longer able to stand on my legs for any length of time because I have a leg that collapses on me if I stand too long. I couldn't stand up to any of my kitchen counters to peel and cut up vegetables and cut up meats--and even though i had a tall stool I could not sit on it at the kitchen counters because there was no where to put your legs--and sitting sideways on a stool and trying to work at something on the counter was almost impossible and caused a lot of pain in my back. So I had just about quit preparing big meals for me and my husband. With this table I can open the leaf and put my legs under it--and sitting on the stool is just the right height for me. And this table rolls around easy from place to place. Yesterday I picked a bucket of bell peppers and used this table to clean, slice and dice them. I pulled my stool up right next to the kitchen sink and then this table in front of me. Every time I needed to wash a pepper I just reached over to the sink and washed it without having to get up to do it. Then cut the peppers and cleaned them out. This is what all I had on the table to be able to put them up for the freezer. I had: a small compost bucket, a vegetable chopper, 2 knives, a large cutting board, the bucket that held all the peppers, 2 boxes of freezer baggies, and 2 plates to sort out the diced from the sliced bell peppers. Everything I needed was within easy reach and I never had to stand up to do anything. I wished that I had discovered this table years ago when I first started having medical problems with my legs and back--this would have saved me a lot of time as well as a lot of pain. My only regret about this table is that I didn't know about it sooner! I would definitely order this again and also from this seller (Stores123) since the delivery was so quick and nothing was damaged.

It is well made, ALL REAL WOOD, and provides great extra work and storage space for a smaller kitchen or dining room. I love it. However, I saw this item on Overstock.com for $10 less than Amazon but I love Amazon's great customer service so I spent the extra money to order from Amazon. When the item came the packaging slip was from Overstock.com. and I was instructed to return it to Overstock.com if there was a problem. The item was so perfect that I bought a second one from Overstock.com directly; saved $10 plus tax. Worth the money, but by it from Overstock.com and save the extra money.

I have a tiny studio apartment and I bought this for counter space (there was virtually not an inch of counter space in the apartment) and also storage since I have a mini kitchen. This is the perfect height, feels like actual counter space. Has enough storage where all of my appliances fit perfectly and I can use the drawer for silverware and other random kitchen accessories. It was also fairly simple to put together. I’ve only ever built two other pieces of furniture and this was by far the easiest. It’s very sturdy. Worth the money!

This is a great purchase. I'm a 62 year old woman and I put it together myself in less than an hour. It's very solid and stable. It holds a lot of things on the bottom shelves. The top is perfect for rolling out dough, chopping veggies or mixing up a batch of anything. I'm so glad I got it. It's very well packed and arrives quickly. You won't be sorry you ordered it.

After spending weeks looking for a work table to use as an island in my kitchen, I purchased this item. Everything else I considered was so expensive, but this table is quite reasonably priced. It arrived sooner than I expected, and was packaged very well. The assembly was quick and easy - the only part that was a little tricky was the back panel for the drawer because the holes were drilled in the wrong place. Also, you will need a small Phillip's head screwdriver. The other tool you need is the L-wrench, but that comes in the package. I did change out the hardware to burnished bronze to match my kitchen, instead of the chrome ones that come with the table. Plus, I used knobs instead of a towel bar so I could hang pot holders, etc. I am VERY pleased with this item and have already received compliments. It is sturdy, but not too heavy for me to move by myself. It is a bit taller than my countertops, but works well in my kitchen as an island. [One of the photos is before hardware]

Love this Kitchen cart. I bought it for my brother's apt. We were able to fit his microwave, food processor, blender and toaster on the counter. The drawer is very spacious and it's a great height. It was also easy to assemble. One tip when screwing the counter top, do not tighten the screws all the way, because the rest of the holes will be misaligned.
