Use on stovetop & oven, whats not to like!

I made oven beef stew in the pot and it was wonderful. The cleanup was quick and easy. I also made a pot of minestrone soup and it was great, sat on the stove most of the day at a very low simmer and the pot held up like a champ. Its also a beautiful color!

Very pleased with this braiser, compare to Le Creuset

I didn't know what to expect from this company, I never heard of Landhaus. I purchased based on the great reviews. I own a Le Creuset dutch oven that I've had for years, its great, love it. But I needed a braiser. When I researched Le Creuset I was reminded of the high prices. I love the Le Creuset quality but I was not going to spend that money right now. I order the Landhaus and I am very pleased that I did. The item shipped perfectly, the packaging is on point for something of this nature; very well protected. Excellent quality control. Item has very good weight & a great finish. Even the second included knob handle has good weight to it. I cooked my first meal in it the day it arrived, beef short ribs. Came out amazing. This braiser performed perfectly and clean up was easy. I must add-----"Landhaus", its just a name, dont be fooled. The item is designed in Chicago Ill. but built in CHINA! I am so tempted to remove a star from my rating because of where it's made, but I cant....this item for the price is absolutely perfect. Go ahead and yes compare it to Le Creuset or other high end enameled cast iron cookware makers. Its that good. And no, I'm not paid to say this, I've been compelled because I'm so happy with it!

Excellent quality

Arrived in perfect condition, no chips or flakes to the porcelain. Beautiful color, perfect size, good solid weight with a well fit lid. Comes with an extra knob handle for the lid. I am very happy with this purchase. Couldn't ask for a nicer Dutch Oven.

Really high quality, TOO MUCH PACKAGING

Landhaus is an old reputable brand. There are some cheaper, larger enamel coated cast iron cookwear but they lack the hardened coating and beautiful paint job this has. Also you get a silver and gold handle to use. The pot is very heavy and its hard to visually judge 4.7 quarts so the pan was smaller than expected. But it feels and looks high quality. The only downside was the insane packaging. Its like 3 boxes, foam slats, buble wrap and carboard pieces. Ive never seen this much packaging for something and Ive ordered fragile glasses before.

Incredibly Well Packaged - Georgeous Deep Red Color

After reading many reviews about buyers of other brands receiving damaged units due to poor packaging I was relieved to receive this dutch over in perfect condition. My wife loved the color and has prepared both a stew and fabulous Swiss steak in this large dutch oven. Generous handles for moving it from the stove top to the oven. Perfectly flat bottom which is critical for use on our ceramic stove top. To clean just filled it will water and detergent. After 20 minutes cleaning was a none event. No discoloration of the interior. Great Dutch Oven at a great price.

Move over Le Crueset...I found a new love.

I have an induction stove top so can only use cast iron cookware. I wanted to replace an old cast iron skillet with an enameled cast iron pot with lid. I really didn't want to spend $400+ on Le Crueset and was SO happy that my search on Amazon led me to Landhaus. Wow. $99 for a ridiculously well made braiser pot?! Yes its true and it's beautiful with a rich deep color. I'm already planning to buy the whole set.

Better in person!

This looks even better in person. The deep red is stunning - the photos don't do it justice. The cream colored interior is a perfect contrast with the rich tone of the outside. I plan to get the entire set!

Dutch oven 6.2 Quart

The company stands by what it says. I had a small blemish on my first one. Just received my second one and it is perfect. The company responded and took care of it in a flash. I am very happy and plan to buy more. By the way, I had an Le Crueset Dutch oven for thirty three years, I can feel the quality of this Landhaus dutch oven in my hands, it is as good and better than my Le Crueset. My first recipe of french ox tail soup stew was perfect. Can not wait to try other receipes!!

Very high quality

After days of research l settled on the 6.2 quart Landhaus Dutch oven. So glad I did. To start with it's beautiful, a dark cherry red with cream colored interior. It was packaged extremely well and came with 2 knobs that both look. really good. I cooked pork loin and sauerkraut on new year's day and it was the most tender and juicy pork I have ever cooked. This is a very high quality Dutch oven at a very good price. I highly recommend this product
