Well made product, very simple

So far I've been using this thermometer for a month. It is accurate and conveniently light. Very simple. Has a calibration mode if it isn't reading accurately. Screen lights up and if your out at the grill you can press a button to hold the temp if you can't see the screen.

Nice Gadget

This digital meter works great, has a needle like probe that can easily penetrate food, featured functions work as advertised, I will say it worked differently than I thought, when it says in the description about 3 seconds for a reading, I thought it was exactly that, I would touch something with the probe and it would show a number in 3 seconds, but instead it gradually climbs to the accurate temperature, and THAT takes about 3 seconds, but at least it starts climbing immediately when you probe something. What I like most about this specific product is that the back light comes on automatically with turning it on. They say it’s 100% waterproof, but I am not going to verify that. I like it. Happy with it.

Really fast response, accurate and easy to handle. The fact you can lock in the temp is a great feature.

A really well-designed thermometer.

Due to esophageal problems, I've been told not to ingest anything hotter than 140 degrees, so I bought this to test all the hot stuff I consume: teas, coffee, soup, oatmeal. I'm glad I decided to spend a few extra dollars and buy the ThermoPro TP15; it's perfect. Quick. Accurate (I tested it with ice water and boiling water). Back-lit, so it's easy to read. With a magnet, so it hangs on the side of the refrigerator out of the way but within easy reach. And, when we finally used it for what it was made for - testing the internal temperature of a roast - it was long enough to reach all the way into the oven and the "temperature hold" button worked just as it should: allowing us to pull the thermometer out of the oven to read the temperature. This is just a perfectly-designed product.

More than accurate enough.

I received the thermometer today so have no input as far as durability and battery life goes. I did check out its accuracy and find no fault with that. It is super quick in giving a reading and I could almost instantly get an accurate reading of another item, no waiting for it to get back to ambient temperature. So five stars so far.

High quality *instant* meat thermometer...

I've been using cheap thermometers and they tend to not be so "instant", taking awhile to get to steady state. By that time you've lost all your oven/grill heat. This one works and locks done on the temp within a second or less. I haven't checked it for "waterproofness" but it should be good. I highly recommend this!!!

The kitchen tool I never realized I needed....

When I pulled it out of the package, the thermometer seemed DOA. A quick tap of the power button shows that the battery is already installed. It is set to save the battery when not in use. It worked without any need to calibrate the thermometer, but I am glad the company gives instructions if you need them. This is the second one I purchased. My first purchase was immediately regifted to our aunt when my husband praised the quality and needed it for the Thanksgiving turkey. I am vegetarian and only use it to ensure that the water is between 80º and 120º for bread or yogurt. The testing wand is too long for a 1-cup measuring cup, but it works well. It has no clip for keeping it at the correct spot in the water, but the reading is instantaneous. My old one was slow to rise and needed to be clipped to monitor the temperature. Big Pro: I get a kick tossing it at the refrigerator and seeing it magnetically stick to the side. Cool! Washing it afterwards is easy as well, since I only need to wash the metal part. Don’t stick it in the dishwasher.

Really is instant reading. Its tough enough for industrial use. And its waterproof!

I am a manager of a deli and I've spent hundreds of dollars in the last year on different digital thermometers. This is the most accurate and quickest food thermometer I've ever used. I didn't want to leave a review until at least a month has passed because every thermometer I've bought for my kitchen crew in the past has broken after a few weeks. This ThermaPro is is so tough it was dropped in the sink and still works perfect. I am only investing in these from now on!

Accurate!

I received my thermometer one day early, which was welcomed as I was waiting for its arrival before making a recipe I have. I checked the accuracy with another thermometer and it's right on target. It's quite easy to use and helped me to make yogurt which requires accurate temperatures. I've only had it a couple of days so I don't know how it will stand the test of time.
