WORTH EVERY PENNY my lightening has never looked so good

I'm ashamed to mention I have been through 4 ring lights but... I have been through 4 RING LIGHTS. I thought in the beginning a ring light was just a ring light and I was so wrong. They are NOT all created equal. This Zomei one however is by far my favorite for many reasons but I will list a few. In comparison to the ring light I was using before (Neewer) the Zomei is much lighter but noticeably more durable. From the stand to the actual light - nothing about it is flimsy. The assembly was easy as 123. Simple. This baby was made so well and I am highly impressed. The width of the light is thinner than my Neewer which I personally think looks better. The bulky Neewer ring light on such a skinny stand is one reason I have been through 4 ring lights. LED lights are always a plus. Today I used my light to film for about 4 hours straight and I didn't break a sweat! Now my favorite part of this light is the color temperature control. That part won me over! My other lights had little annoying plastic panels I would have to take off and clip on if I wanted the warmer temp. color... talk about time consuming. This light has a built in knob that changes the temp. color AND a dimmer. I only wish the carry bag that was included was padded on the inside for extra security and that the stand had a carry case. The stand does fold down fairly small but a case would be perfect! Either way I am loving this light so far. I use my lights just about everyday so finding a good one is very important to me and I think this one will be my last purchase. Oh and I forgot to mention you get a tripod head which I never use because I feel more comfortable with my camera on a separate tripod and a phone clamp which I am excited to try when I go live or something. Sorry for the long review I just really enjoy this, I'm even going to post a video on Youtube in detail and showing it in action . I'll be back with any updates!

DIMMABLE, SUPER EASY TO USE LIGHT RING

This is actually my 2nd ring light. I had another one but my 19 year old grand daughter who is really into makeup like most teenage girls wanted it. I am an amateur jewelry maker so I like using these lights for the jewelry pictures as the different light settings really can bring out the jewelry pieces beauty. This 18 inch light ring is great for all kinds of things. It is good for taking pictures, photography pictures, doing makeup, if you have an online blog, the uses are limitless. I really like how easy it is to use. Once you put up the sturdy tripod, attach the ring, and plug in you are ready to go. It is really nice that it comes with the attachment to hook your cell phone to it, I would think it would also work on the quick shoot lightweight cameras as well. That is a very nice feature because you don't have to worry about being steady and you can also have the camera and light at different angles. This light ring needs no different filters to go from warm to cool light because everything is done from 2 dials on the back of it. you can go from very bright to dim and from warm lighting to cool lighting. It has 448 led lights. It has air ventilation holes on the back to keep it from overheating. This seems to be a very sturdy tripod and holds the light and cell in many different angles. It comes with very easy to read instructions with pictures and a very nice carrying case for storage and protection.

versatile

This light is compact and comes with a carrying bag, so you can have it wherever you go. I like that the stand folds up to be about as small as the light itself which is 18 inches across. The stand has different adjustments from really low to fairly high and the light can be pointed at all angles. The stand even has a thread for your camera or other accessories. The light itself is soft and easy to look at when put on the lowest setting and can be increased to great brightness. The temperature knob is very nice also. I like the build and use of the knobs. they are easy to use, look great, and are smooth. The only thing that would worry me is the plastic build that connects the light to the stand. There are notches that allow it to hold in place and I'm not sure about the durability of that.

Portable and a great value!

I have previously tried out a few ring lights and this one is actually the best that I have tried. I LOVE how you don't have to switch out the filters to change the light tone, which means less things to carry! This is lightweight and I'm really happy that it comes in a carrying case, though I wish the stand had a case as well. It's easy to mount my phone on to the ring for video and picture and the attachments for the ring and phone are flexible enough to move so I can get the best possible angle and light. I also like that it has a mount hole where I can hook it up on to the wall if needed. Overall, it's really great for the price and I would recommend it.

Best Ring light I've tried so far

This light is AMAZING. Its super lightweight but gives off the most amazing lighting. I purchased another ring light that was more expensive and it doesn't do half of what this one does. The temperature changing option is perfect for me because I will not have to keep adjusting my camera setting for every situation. I can just change the color on the lights, which saves so much time when recording. DID I MENTION, it tilts!!!!!!!!!!! This is such a useful benefit to have an adjusting neck because I can use it as an over head for my nail table. MAJOR PLUS. The tripod that came with the light is a very sturdy one, nice and solid. It came with a case for easy travel, this is great for me because I am mobile in my business. The phone attachments is handy as well if you just happened to forget your camera. Overall, I feel that this was one of the best investments I have made. I would and HAVE recommend this if you are searching for the perfect lighting.

BEST RING LIGHT ON THE MARKET

Let me start off by saying that I have bought 3 other ring light in the course of 6 years so far and this one by far is the best ring light I've ever owned. The first ring light I ever bought was a fluorescent bulb, I knew I had to upgrade so I bought 2 others both LED and only one that dims. I have a makeup studio and also film makeup tutorials so lighting is crucial for me. One light goes in my studio, one light in my filming area and I like to keep a backup when I travel for bigger jobs. These lights can be pretty bulky and heavy so when I received the Zomei light it was significantly lighter than my previous ones. -What sets this light apart and just really hits a home run is that not only is this light dimmable, it also comes with a temperature adjustment. If you plan on using this to film or already have some experience you'll know how pesky it is when your videos come out too cool tone ad you find yourself adjusting the colors when you edit. This feature saves you the trouble of doing that. This light is thinner than most on the market making this one so much more lightweight. Once the other lights go out I will be replacing them with this model and I highly recommend this light!

It’s great for a beginner and a great buy!

I always read reviews for products especially when spending my hard earned money! I am a certified Makeup Artist and was in desperate need for a ring light that would help with my application of makeup on myself and my clients in dull settings. This light works great and I love that it has warm and cool settings. Although this is my first experience with a ring light, I’d highly recommend it for beginners since it’s inexpensive and it does the job when you use the phone/camera stand that is attached. My only takeaway is that it isn’t real sturdy, which isn’t a problem if you don’t plan on moving it a lot and it works best in front of you and nowhere else. I say that because I sat my vanity up against my wall so I had to put the ring light on one side of the vanity which meant that I had to purchase an additional light (I purchased a soft box, I believe that’s what it’s called, I’ll have a review on that later as well) nonetheless, the 2 work well together on both ends of my vanity to give me the lighting I need for now. At some point I’m sure I will upgrade since I am turning my loft into a full studio but again, for now this will do and was a great buy and it also came with a thin carrying bag, a small velvet pouch - I’m guessing for the phone stand and assembly directions. The height is over 5’4” and the light is adjustable meaning you can tilt it forward and back. Hope this info helps :-).
