Came in brand new and was effortless to setup. Stylish and sleek, it has plenty of undervalued and iconic games alike both physically and digitally available to collect. Plus it coming with a free game installed is a nice bonus. Mario Kart is a timeless series. The 2DS XL is definitely the best of the DS lineup in general, and best valued portable game system too. And this is coming from a long time console gamer.

my son loves it

bought for a 5 year old for his birthday. also have one for our eight year old. keeps them entertained. durable as our 5 year old often drops it. definitely recommend screen protectors.

Fantastic little gaming system

This is very fun to play, plus you can download all of the old school games like Mario Bros, Dr. Mario, etc for cheap and have a fun portable gaming system. Battery lasts a long time.

Need for New Games

We had to buy this version in order to play the new Minecraft game. My Daughter is thrilled with it!

nice product for the price

This is easily one of the best hand held consoles of the history, nevertheleast the mario game on it freezed once, I dont know why, and I had to reset the console. nice battery life, you should turn off the wi-fi, low the bright setting and always use earphones, that would give you like 7 hours of play, I 'll suggest to play no more than 1 hour at time and let the console rest so yourselft.

Great

Exactly as advertised, looks and works great. My 4 year old figured it out fairly quickly. We did buy a separate case and car charger for it as well. Mario kart is pre-loaded.

Great for young kids!

I purchased this for my five-year-old son. This is great for him. His wireless ear phones connect to the device through Bluetooth. He is able to switch between games on his own. It comes pre-loaded with Mario Kart. Although the game is a bit too difficult for him at this age, he still enjoys playing it! He also loves playing Mario Maker on the DS. This is a great product for my son while on long car rides. Some have said it may be too flimsy and easily break with young children. I disagree. My son knows to not mistreat it and take care of it. I see this as a responsibility lesson by explaining that things like this could be fragile. Would buy again!

Perfect for Portable Play

This is my first Nintendo handheld of the DS line. The size is great & it's lightweight, for my small pained hands. I can play all day before the battery dies. I really enjoy Mario Kart 7, which is preloaded on the device. The speaker placement is not a problem for me with the way I hold the DS. I like that the ports for the game cartridge & micro SD card have a cover, so you don't accidentally pop out the cartridge or dust doesn't get in. Everything feels like good quality to me & I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another, should I ever feel the need for another design or want to give one as a gift.

LOVE IT.

This is perfect for those that want a lighter Handheld console. It plays all 3DS Games, just in 2D. Fine by me! The 3D function kinda hurt my eyes a bit anyway. The 2DS XL gets a 10 out of 10!
