Dewenwils Remote Outlet solved a big problem.
I have a dust collection system in my home shop, with a Ridgid shop vac as the engine. It's tucked away in a corner, and not simple to reach, while working with my other stationary power tools. I connected it to the remote power strip, and I ordered a couple of extra remote controls for it, which I can access from anywhere, and turn on and off my dust collection system without having to continually access the shop vac itself... Works like a charm...

Exactly what I needed
This might be overkill for what i needed, but its working perfect. I have a vacuum tube amplifier on a shelf in my study that has a power switch on the back side. Turning the unit on is easy as you can reach over it and turn the switch on, but turning it off means sticking your arm in a narrow space with a very hot amplifier possibly touching your skin. One press of the mini remote and its on, or off. I'm using it inside, and am fairly close to the unit when I am using the remote, but I tested it from the other end of a large house and it worked fine. Its very well built, seems to handle plenty of current, and I like that it also has a on/off switch on the unit itself in case the remote batter dies or something. I appreciate the other reviews here as they helped me to decide on this specific model over some of the other ones on Amazon.

Works as advertised
We have a TV mounted pretty closely to the wall with a DirecTV box strapped to the back. Every now and then, the DirecTV box needs a power reset, and it was a PITA to pull a ladder out and access the box (could only be accessed from the top of the TV). Installed this and it works perfectly for when the box needs a reset.

Perfect for outdoor fountains!
This remote is AWESOME!!!! I have an outdoor fountain. I was getting tired of plugging it in every time I went outside. Now turning it on is as simple as a click of the "on" button on the remote! It's the perfect solution to my problem! The range is also great. I can turn the fountain on from my living room so that is about 15 feet.

Very Convenient
I installed lights in my patio. In order to turn them on I had to plug them into an outdoor outlet with a cover on it to protect it from the weather. It was very hard to unplug the lights because the cover on the outlet kept slapping shut. When my daughter saw me struggling to unplug the lights she told me about the remote control power strip. I immediately checked on Amazon, I had never heard of such a device. It arrived in a couple of days and now I can turn the lights on and off from inside my house. I really like that! I recommend this device for any outdoor lights. I'm sure there are many other uses for this product.

Love It
Using this for outdoor Christmas lights and it works fantastic. No more running outside to turn them on and off. My only regret is not buying the one that has 3 separate wall plugs all run with a 3 channel remote.

outdoor power remote
I bought this because my truck has to have an engine heater running to warm it up so it will start in the cold weather. But it used 1 Kw so plugged in all night can be 10+ Kwh. Multiplied by each day of the month that adds up to a significant cost. with this remote I can turn it a a few hours before I need to use the truck and I can do it from in the house.

Best EXTERIOR remote yet!!
This is the 3rd or 4th outdoor remote I've tried off of Amazon and this one has lasted the longest and worked the best out off all! I think a big part of this is due to the fact you plug whatever you need to control in the botton of the unit. No moisture getting into the outlet on the unit because its facing down. Ive even gone so far on past units to putting silicone sealant to keep from getting wet inside. I haven't done that to this one and its been in heavy rain and sub zero temperatures here in Wisconsin. I use it to control a light on my garage when the dogs are in the backyard. Also, this is the only one that had an on/off button on the unit. That button lights up green when either pushed or turned on with the remote. Usually rain or cold temps killed the other remotes i tried, but this one is going strong!! Highly recommended.

Use them everywhere!
These remote control power outlets are great! I'm using one right now for the Christmas tree so I don't have to climb under and around things to turn the tree on. I use them in the shop to power on my shop vac for dust collection and in the living room to turn on the hall lamp in the mornings. I'll be buying more soon to power on some of my other shop tools. Great product!

replacement remote did work.
The remote did not work even after I tried to 'program' it. I can turn it on or off by pressing on the light button on the plug in part; but, not remote - and that is the reason why I bought it. And, they sent a new (different) one with 3 plug ins and it worked great.
