It is easy to assemble, but you will need some efforts to adjust the angle, tune the lens to find your perfect views. Took it out over the Thanksgiving day and couldn't believe how clear the moon was. It has a wide field, but the Barlow lens work well to give some higher magnification on bright objects such as the moon. The scope itself is very well built. The quality of the mount and tube is nice. However, the mount would be adequate for planets and the moon, and wide-field or terrestrial use, but it's hard to center things. The finder scope is the best kind you can get, based on the standard viewing model, and the eyepieces that come with this scope are good. We bought this telescope as a planned thanksgiving gift to our nieces, it turned out that my husband love it and kept it for himself!

Great telescope for beginners

Excellent choice!

I used to have a basic model of telescope before and wanted to get another one as birthday gift for kid. This product had my final vote with some homework. The stuff was well packed when delivered. I worked with my son to put the parts together. The assemble is quite straight forward even an elementary school kid was able to get job done with some a little help. Although just a few times trial so far, we like it a lot already. The quality and definition are way above my expectations. At the chilly night, it is quite easy to pick up many shining stars and moon. The craters on the moon are so clear just like it was yards away from you. It seems that we might see the cloud ring which is probably around Saturn. My son was so excited to see what he learned from textbook. I am happy with this choice for reasonable price, good function and especially great educational tool for children. Strong recommendation!

It’s actually a gift for my friend’s son. He was so excited to receive this as a birthday gift. It arrived in perfect condition. Very fancy and nice quality . It is easy to assemble as well. Just took u couple of minutes. Very happy with this purchase.

A very good telescope

This is the first telescope that I have ever purchased and I must say that I am pleasantly impressed. My previous super long shots have involved using a 300mm lens on an SLR with additional close up adapters. Safe to say, the results with this telescope is far far superior when used for taking pictures of the moon. I originally had thought that for this price a telescope cannot be of good quality. However that is not the case: the tripod is very sturdy with good balance and very little wobble, the mounts hold the telescope securely and the fine adjustment knobs are very precise, making it very easy to accurately focus on the target. The telescope is solidly built, the optical eyepieces work well, and has extremely clear optics, as the attached moon shots show. Focusing on an object is easy to do too: once you lock the target at the cross-hair of the Finderscope, you can use the fine adjustment knobs to focus on your target. The included cell phone support makes it easy to take clear pictures of your object with an iphone or android phone camera alike, especially using the blue tooth to activate the camera. I highly recommend this telescope to anyone who wants to look at the stars in the sky, or look at your interested far-away objects on the earth surface. Note: Picture-1 was taken using the 10mm eyepiece, picture-2 was taken using the 5mm eyepiece (which shows more details of a part on picture-1)

A great telescope at decent price!

The first impression to me is this model of Gskyer telescope is not only a perfect gift for children education but also a perfect tool (not a toy) for an adult who has interest in exploring the sky. The parts are well packed; the pictorial assembly instruction is easy-to-follow; the material used makes the structure pretty sturdy; the counterweight gives the telescope extra stability; the angle adjustment is very smooth and convenient through the slow motion controls. When we started to look at moon, Wow, we can see clearly the craters before eyes, making us feel like real astronomers. Cannot wait to check more stars. A great product at a decent price!
