Better Than My Lodge Cast Iron Skillet
I love cast iron skillets. I don’t much care for the time it requires to season one so I’m grateful when I find a quality skillet already seasoned. I have a lodge brand 12 inch skillet and this one is much lighter. I also like the silicone glove on the handle which works great. I’ve used it multiple times and have had no issues with sticking or other issues. I am surprised how much I like this one more compared to my Lodge brand one. This is a nice quality cast iron skillet.

Bigger is Better
There is a lot to like about a cast iron skillet and of course, you've got to know how to cook with one and then how to keep it in excellent shape. What I like most, though, is the size of this Cuisinel Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet (12-Inch) w/Handle. It complements the set of three I own in that it is the largest. This skillet comes pre-seasoned and there's a handle cover included as well as a guide of instructions for use and care. I really like this skillet.

Everyone needs a good Cast Iron Skillet
I have two old cast iron skillets handed down from my grandmother. One is HUGE 15 or so inch one and the other is smaller at 8 inches. This 12 inch skillet was exactly what I needed. It is a very good quality pan, very heavy and dense. It came pre-seasoned but I seasoned it again with corn oil because I think it makes food taste better. This size skillet is very versatile. It's perfect for making corn bread, stews, frying items, etc.... it also came with a silicone handle cover which is wonderful. For years we've all burnt ourselves on hot handles. I made some out of pot holders years ago, but the silicone ones are smaller and thinner so easier to pick up the skillet. They are also easier to clean, just wash with the dishes. If you are looking for a good quality iron skillet at a very affordable price you will want to get this one.

Love my new cast iron skillet!!!!
When I was growing up, my Mother always cooked with cast iron skillets and now I have my own and I love it! The fry and cook very well with heat evenly distributed along the bottom. Easy to maintain if you just follow the directions. I used to clean the skillets after Mom used them and I know how to keep them fresh looking and ready to go. The skillet came already seasoned which is very helpful. Love the silicone cover for the handle. Mom never had one of those. You just can't go wrong with a cast iron skillet especially one of this quality. Love it!

An opinion from a person raised on country skillet cooking
My wife reports: "There are certain things that just are better if cooked in cast iron. Braised pork ribs in a cast iron dutch oven or corn bread in a small cast iron skillet. I have always wanted a larger cast iron skillet and was thrilled when this one came with how deep it is. "I can imagine cooking many stews and meat dishes as well as some nice biscuits. The first thing I cooked in it was old-fashioned fried mush. The mush crisped up very nice and I was pleased that I could make so much at a time because of the size of the pan. "The silicone handle cover is a nice addition and it also has a small handle on the opposite side so that it is easier to pick up if you need to do that. The pan is pre-seasoned so you don’t have to do that before using it. "Looking forward to cooking in this pan for years to come."

Amazing taste. Amazing cast iron! Big!
Wow! This is huge! I recommend that you watch the dimensions before purchasing. It can definitely handle a huge steak and vegetables around it - I cooked my steak in this and had potatoes and other things around it. The cast iron makes everything taste so much better!! Make sure to put some oil on thjs before, of course. And I did it straight on the fire. The taste, I simply can’t state enough. Unreal!
