I've been using the new SE7s for over a week now. Both at home, office, and the library. The sound on these is really good. They are bass heavy for those that like that music with lots of thump. But they still give enough sound to the mids and highs that you can listen to most if not all music just fine. I was comparing these to my Sony MX1000 M2s. So a high bar to meet. These did hit harder than my Sony's in any hip hop or pop song and I kind of digged that. I could see how these would be good to wear when I need that extra BOOM when working out or just needing to get pumped up. As far as noise cancelling they are better then the older models Cowin has but not as good as the M2s. But that is not a fair comparison as one headphone cost me under 100 and the other 300. For the price these are really good and a great way for folks to get NC at a better price than 300+. As for the build quality I like the SE7s they feel sturdy and the ear cups are very comfortable. They are also just light enough that they feel great on your head but heavy enough to make you feel like you wont break them. I also like this design way better than the old Cowin E7 model. These are more sleek and understated as well as fit a lot better on my head. The E7 always felt a bit tight and looked so big I felt like they stood out for the wrong reason. The SE7s mean while are nice and minimal. I love the matted black and how it doesn't have the shinny chrome like the E7s. The controls are also better than the old E7s. They are more intuitive and easier to use. The battery life is also a lot better than the E7s and I was able to use these all weak before I had to charge them. I use them about 2-3 hours a day and about 5-6 on weekends when studying. I like how these come with a carrying case and that it has a nice internal pocket for the charging cable, inline cable, and airplane connector to be stored in. All in all these are a great value for the money. You won't find any better headphones in terms of NC, look, feel, and comfort for 100 bucks. If you want some great sounding headphones with solid NC features def check the SE7s out!

I bought these headphones for my wife as she was using ear buds, but wanted some nice noise cancellation headphones. For this review, I used them for about a week when I received them. Overall, the headphones, light, attractive and very comfortable. They come with a carrying case, USB charging cable, 3.5mm Aux cable, airline headphone adapter, and a 3.5mm to 6.5mm converter. They are fully adjustable and fit well on the head. The pads are nice and soft and do not hurt the ears after hours of use. The are also detachable so they can be replaced if needed. The controls are easy to find and use while wearing them. Pairing is simple and the volume and skip works as expected. When using with your phone, a nice chime indicates an incoming call. You can use the controls to reject the call or answer and end the call. The microphone works well and the audio is clear to the person on the other end. The noise cancelling works very well - I have to wave at my wife or yell real load to get her attention when she is using them. I used them on our trip to the in laws for Christmas (the wife was driving) and they got rid of the car and engine noise. The sound quality is excellent!! It is very crisp and much better than my Sony headphones and others I have used in the past. The battery time is excellent also. They advertise 30 hours of use on a full charge. I am not sure how long me or my wife used them but is was quite a few hours and we have not had to charge them yet. They also come with an 18 month warranty. I would recommend these to anyone!!!

I received these headphones several days ago and immediately and anxiously unboxed and charged them so I can test them out. I already have the Cowin E7 Pro, that I happen to love, so I was anxious to compare the performance to those. These new SE7's have a very simple and sleek look, I really like that. They may not be as "showy" as the E7 pro, but I like it that way. I started to charge them, and realized shortly thereafter that they were fully charged from the factory, so that was a nice surprise! I tried them on for comfort, and all I can say is WOW! They are sooo comfortable. They feel light and soft on your ears. The cups are angled in reference to the headband, so they fit perfectly over my ears, and give a perfect seal. They are MUCH more comfortable than the E7 Pro (and I thought those were comfortable!). My only complaint is that the pivot points for the ear cups seem to make a creaking noise when the headphones move around as I walk. It's not a big deal, I know I'm being picky, but felt I should mention it. I started off by testing the noise cancelling function first. As with other tests that I've done, I used different test noises such as Vacuum cleaner, fan, humidifier, lawn mower outside, etc. The noise cancelling function on these seem to be a HUGE improvement over the older headphones. Even though the older ones were also good at filtering noise out, these are even better, and more importantly, the noise cancelling function is practically silent when turned on! The E7 Pro's, as well as most other headphones (costing multiple times more) have a slight white noise hiss when that function is turned on. This was VERY impressive to me. I then made a phone call using the headphones. The person's voice was loud and clear, and they said I sounded very clear as well. I don't like using that function because I find it annoying when I speak and hear my voice muffled in my head because of the headphones. Just a personal thing for me, but if you like using them for phone calls, they will perform fine. And finally, I tested the sound. I tested them with a Bluetooth signal, as well as with a wired connection. I also did a wired back to back connection comparing them to the E7 Pro, using a high end pre amp and a good source. I listened to various types of music as well. At first they sounded VERY similar to the E7 Pro, but I tried very carefully to come up with differences. Initially the E7 Pros sounded like they had a little more pronounced bass, and possibly "better". However, as I listened more (especially with a wired connection and a good source), I started to realize that the Bass wasn't that much weaker with the SE7's, it was just more accurate. The mids seem to be more accurate and clear, and the highs were too similar to hear a difference. Overall, they both sound great, but I slightly prefer the sound of the SE7's if I had to pick. Taking everything into account. The comfort, the noise cancelling, and the sound, I honestly can't see how you can beat the SE7's. I HIGHLY recommend them if that is the price point that you are looking for.

The new SE7 head phones are light and super comfortable. I was working on a project for about 4 hours and almost forgot I had them on. The stereo sound quality is fantastic and they block out the surrounding noise. It was impressive considering our dogs make a ton of noise. I was able to take phone calls while working and according to a friend of mine they sounded great win their end. These headphones are as good as advertised and a great price.

Cowin is my go to brand for Quality headphones that don't break the bank. And the SE7s are no exception. First impression When I opened the box I was very pleased. These headphones come in a very nice case and include instructions and warranty information. Once I opened the case, the headphones were folded away and what really impressed me was that all the included cables were in a nice velvet bag. Nice touch! And these headphones just feel like quality headphones. Fit These headphones are lightweight and comfortable. The headphones feel secure, but not snug. I wear a 7.5 size hat for reference. But, there's plenty of adjustments that should allow these to fit most heads comfortablly. The earcups are made of a very nice material that is well padded and the earcups themselves swivel for even more adjustment. Sound These headphones can be used either with an included wire or via bluetooth, which syncs up quick and easily. Sound is always a personal preference. In my opinion, I think they sound great. They have nice bass without being overpowering. The music sounds clear and when you crank these babies up to 11 they don't distort, but they are loud! The sound is every bit as good as my Bose headphones. Other things with mentioning The noise cancelling on these headphones are pretty good. I used these on my recent trip and they did help to drown out the aircraft noise. I will say that my Bose QC35 do a better job, but are 3x the cost the Cowins do a great job. The Battery life is outstanding. I dont know if they can go a full 30 hours, but they lasted all day for me. These can also be used to receive calls. To be honest, I don't like to make calls using headphones, but the one time a call came through while I was wearing them, the caller didn't seem to notice. Overall, I'm very pleased with these headphones. I think it would be difficult to find better headphones at this price.

First off these things looks good, I love the sleek black look and the build quality is nice, It can flex so just in case, and the ear cuffs move so it give you a good fit on your head. The sound quality is good also, its not bass heavy but bass is there. I tried out calls on it and the other person said it dont sound too bad but i wouldn't use these are a main way to talk on the phone THE EAR CUSHIONS ARE SO SOFT AND COMFORTABLE.. This thing feels good and doesn't have that clamping felling if you wear it for a long time. It makes me feel like im in a quite room and no one is talking. When music is on it help block out the outside noise even more, but when music is on you cant really hear outside noise to begin with. overall these headphones are really good, Love the ANC and the sound and build quality are well done. Good job COWIN

What a great set of headphone. I own a couple pairs of the Cowin E7 headphones (two different colors). When I saw there was an upgrade called SE7, I had to get a pair and see if they were really "NEW AND IMPROVED". I am pleased to say that the SE7 live up to the hype. Appearance, fit and comfort - Cowin has made internal changes in the past. WIth the SE7's have a new, more compact look and feel. I find that the SE7 and E7 are both equality comfortable when it comes to padding. The SE7 seem to be a bit tighter fitting but that could simply be because the earpieces tilt in more than the E7. I have had the E7 slide a bit on my when leaning over working in the yard - nothing big but needs the occasional adjustment. The SE7 do not shift around at all. Physically, the SE7 seem a bit sturdier - but that could simply be an impression. My E7 has taken a good deal of abuse and have not had a single problem. Sound quality - I was completely satisfied with the sound quality of the E7. I tend to be audiobook listener with the occasional switch to music. I was VERY surprised to see a sound improvement with the SE7. I am not an audiophile, but it does seem that the sound is a bit richer and deeper. MIC function - I haven't had a chance to use the mic function yet. I don't often use the mic with this style of headset. Active Noise Cancelling - The active noise canceling is amazing on both the E7 and SE7. When both work so well, it is hard to pick which is "better". I can run a backpack blower and easily hear the soft sounds without cranking up the volume. Battery Life - I have been using these SE7 for more than a week and have yet to charge. Kind of hard to critique if you can't find the end of the battery life. So which is better- that is really hard to say. I would have been 100% satisfied using my E7 for a long time and would have never missed the sound and comfort improvements. Now that I have them in the SE7, I will use the E7 as backups only. Which should you buy - you can't go wrong with either one. It will come down to your budget and style preference.
