Crisp, Well made and super effective!
I bought “blackout” curtains from Home Goods for my entire house except 3 windows. They didn’t have enough at the store so I purchased my last 3 from amazon. I paid $22/piece for the first ones which I’d rate as cheap now that I have my new NiceTown blackout curtains. The NiceTown curtains were double the price far superior in quality and blackoutness. Is that a word? Hahahaha. I loved my White NiceTown curtains so much I purchased them for all the rooms in my house. Do not double guess the price. They are totally worth it. Was kinda scared to put white curtains against an off white wall but they are super crisp and look great. Most of all, they are effective. My last 3 summer electric bills were $300-$330 respectively. My electric bill was $228 this month. Granted I had no window coverage before and is the reason I bought blackout curtains in the first place. I never write reviews. Ever. You needed to know this about these curtains. That’s how great I feel about them. Crisp, well made and effective!!!! Period.

Blocks All The Light
Our bedroom had Levolor roller blackout shades and they do work, but not perfectly. Our room would be mostly dark in the middle of the day, which was helpful, but recently we decided to revamp our side yard with our neighbors so trees and bushes were cut down which left a lot more light around our windows. Our side yard is on its way to looking amazing, but our room is just too bright. These curtains come in a few varieties and we discussed two different options - 90% light blockage and 100%. We went with the 100% and ordered two panels (because math is hard and I was not thinking that I would need four panels for two windows) in the beige. The beige is a true tan color and I wish I would have ordered the white, but it is fine. The back of each curtain is black, so if your neighbors are sensitive to curtain colors, they will have to look at completely black curtains. The tops of each curtain have silver grommets where they slide on to the rod. This is not something I would pick out for every room in my house, but because I really need our bedroom to be dark, I will live with it. The panels did come out of the package wrinkled, but I spent about ten minutes with a fabric steamer and they were wrinkle free. It was absolutely no big deal at all. With the curtains closed it is pitch black in our room in the middle of the day and we could probably just stop using our Levolor shades altogether. These curtains work. I honestly do not think they block sound, but if you need a blackout curtain for light these are a good deal. **A brief update after one week - I am not a late sleeper and usually am up at 5 am to tend to our dogs and get the day started, but after a very bad night (I was not feeling well and was up and down all night) I actually slept in until 9 am. This never happens. Even after bad nights I am up at 7 am when the light starts to come in our bedroom. I was shocked it was after nine and was still completely dark in our bedroom. These curtains are a really nice and inexpensive way to add comfort to the bedroom.

You may need to replace your rods these are so heavy!
I thought I had pretty beefy drapery rods, but I noticed the brackets slightly bend when I put these up. I purchased 2 sets, and the box even had "heavy" stickers on it! My 2 bedrooms face east along a very busy street. I was skeptical that light beige drapes could really block out 100% of the direct early morning light, but these drapes really do block all light out. Even the noise from the street just outside the bedroom window was greatly reduced. These drapes pack a lot of bang for the buck, and if I redo any more windows I'll look for these to replace my existing drapes. Don't hesitate to buy!

Excellent blackout curtains - they really work
As soon as I hung these curtains, I knew I could breathe a sigh of relief - I had found what I was looking for. Apparently, it's not all that easy to find white curtains that fully block light, aren't cheap looking, and don't get an odd grayish hue. These are 100% what they say they are - fantastic light blockers (my room was pitch dark when I closed them, even in the middle of the day!), and a pure white color that isn't at all affected by the dark lining. They look and feel very high quality, made of a nice matte material that hangs nicely. I'm just SO HAPPY to have found these, especially since the first pair I bought from a different brand/different site were utter crap. These are the real deal!! Also, I have a 3 window bay window sort of thing in my bedroom - the two side windows aren't all that wide (28"), so I bought 2 pairs of panels - 1 panel for each side window, and then a pair for the slightly wider middle window. Can totally get away with it if you're looking to save money.

Works just as they say — blocks the light & muffles sound!
Before I purchased, I read through so many of the reviews on these curtains. I had previously purchased similar curtains from Bed, Bath & Beyond and was sorely disappointed when they didn't work, so I was a bit skeptical that these would be any different. But, I figured hundreds of 5 star reviews couldn't be wrong — and they weren't. These do exactly as they say — block the light completely, and help to muffle sound. I live next to a busy highway and as soon as I put these up, it sounded like the highway was far in the distance. I track my sleep every night, and since I've had these curtains I've gone from a 60%-70% quality of sleep to 90%+ every single night. Highly recommend!

Great: Heavy, and Thermal Drapes
These curtains are heavy and will definitely help keep the cold out, sound out and all the good stuff inside. I ordered the white interior and they are white, not off-white but WHITE. Take note if your paint matching a white wall. I look forward to many years of use, time will tell. UPDATE: I have had these up a few night and I do notice a huge difference in temp. It holds the warm air in. Plus it sucks up any outside sound and makes things much quieter. I will order more but not the white one, a dark blue or burgandy, nothing light shade because it will get to dirty easy. That's in my van environment that I go through them many times a day, front seat to the back living area of my van. White is beautiful though, it looks sharp but as soon as I hit the mountain dirt it's all over lol. Order them, they are worth the money. Btw, I was at Walmart yesterday and checked what they had, NO comparison, they were really cheap junk and would never keep the light out or the thermal like these do.

Excellent quality; total blackout
I originally purchased the regular Nicetown blackout curtains, but they let A LOT of light through. I liked the color and material, but they just weren't what I was looking for. I've checked out these curtains again recently, and it seems they've renamed them to clarify that they are 50% blackout curtains, which still seems a little misleading. Maybe they could call them gray out curtains, or just....curtains. Anyways, after a couple nights of terrible sleep, I returned them ordered these 100% blackout curtains, and they are incredible! The curtains are thick and remind me of heavy hotel curtains. Even in broad daylight, they make my bedroom completely pitch black. The material is also really nice. My only complaint is that they're kind of a pain to de-wrinkle. I put them in the dryer with a damp cloth for twenty minutes, and I also ironed them before hanging them. However, I think it was time well-spent, as they now look pretty elegant. Overall, these curtains look good and will help improve your sleep, so if you're considering getting blackout curtains, you can't go wrong with these. Update, several months later: My neighbor texted me this morning asking what happened at our other neighbor's house last night. I replied that I went to be early and didn't know what he was talking about. It turns out that she had a gas leak, and a firetruck was parked in front of my house for 30 minutes, flashing its lights. I'm an incredibly light sleeper, and two of my 3 bedroom windows face the street, so the fact that I slept through the night makes me even more convinced that these curtains are the real deal! GET THEM!!!

I was a little worried they wouldn’t block the light like I wanted BUT they did great
I bought these in white. I was a little worried they wouldn’t block the light like I wanted BUT they did great! I’m VERY pleased! In my picture, the left side is this product. The right side was other blackout shade I had.

Yes, they are actually blackout!
Pure white, fully blackout and a beautiful brushed satin heavyweight fabric. After reading reviews about other products that felt like shower curtains, didn't actually block out the light, or colours limited to "grey-white" I decided to try these out and was not disappointed! 1st image is before, with other curtains, second photo is these blackout curtains.

Why buy these curtains from Amazon, when I can get it from Walmart, or Target, today?
1- Yes, you can get blackout curtains, there- but, Amazon will get them to you in 3 or 4 days. Mine arrived in 2 days. I didn't even have to leave the house! 2- IMO, the ones I saw at Walmart/Target weren't as thick. They had a black-liner- but that's about it. 3- Because they weren't as thick (to me), they didn't feel like they'd do a whole lot. ---- These curtains were well worth the purchase. They're nice, heavy & made of great material- very durable. Folded, 1 panel felt like the weight of 2 or 3 pairs of jeans. 2018 has been the hottest summer in Southern California- that I can remember, ever. I wanted these curtains to help keep the heat out of my direct, afternoon-sunlit-room. I didn't care about darkness. I was damn-near ready to find a way to mount my auto-shade onto the window sill. Not only did these curtains block out the sun & heat- they kept the room at a more-than-tolerable, temperature. -When I buy another set- no question about it- I'll come back & buy these. **Note- If you want your room dark- stretch the curtains out, to where the top (by the bar) is flattened. Pin curtain to the walls using thumbtacks. Folder the bottom of the curtain to sit on the window sill. This should lessen the amount of light (therefor, Heat) from creeping into the room.
