Cotton Boll can look classy!!!

I needed to put some kind of decoration above my fireplace, that I had just painted white. Originally when I had given the bricks a used look I had had a clock there. But now the clock seemed lost among the all white. So I started looking through Amazon’s decor items and saw this cotton boll wreath. But white on white, I wasn’t sure about that plus I had never even considered something like this. Mostly because I honestly never seen a wreath made of bolls. It was unusual & I like unusual, so I thought I’d tried it & I’m so glad I did. It’s was nicely packed in a box, no broken pieces, everything looked crisps and very natural. All I had to do was stretch out each one of the attached limbs that held the cotton bolls (they look like twigs but are made of wire so you can easily bend them in any direction. It looked wonderful once all the limbs were pulled away from the center wreath. I decided to add some extra color (the white on white problem) using green silk artificial ivy that I wove in & out of the wreath & bolls & then some tiny yellow silk artificial flowers (which looks like the yellow flowers the cotton plants have before the developing the bolls). But honestly I didn’t really need to since the wreath was great just by itself. It’s well made, well thought out and easy to arrange into the wreath style you want. This is definitely a 5 thumbs up buy and I would do it again & again. The only problem I can see with a wreath made of cotton bolls is if you have very curious pet. Both my cats were extremely interested in the boll’s smell (I smelled nothing) & they kept wanting touch the soft white cotton with they’re paws. If I had just left it on a chair where cats could easily reach I know they would have torn it apart in they’re with all they’re smelling & touching.
