Quality and value

Have not used the steam pot section yet, but a recipe calling for melted cheese and heavy cream worked just perfectly. I highly recommend this set for anyone seeking a double boiler and I know the vegetable steamer will be very handy too.

Easy to use

I've never owned a double boiler before, so I really wasn't sure how to use it. Sadly, there were no instructions as to how much water to add, so I guessed. I knew from watching videos that the water shouldn't touch the bottom of the upper pan, but did that included the water bubbles as it boiled? I don't know. But I managed to steam a couple of items and they both turned out great. I haven't melted chocolate in it yet, but I will eventually. The only thing I didn't care for was the stains left in the bottom pan after only two uses. I didn't think to take pictures of the stains, but if it happens again I will update the review and include some pictures. Luckily, I found a video that said to add some vinegar (I used white vinegar, enough to cover the bottom of the pan) and enough water to cover the stain-line. I then left it to sit overnight. The next morning I cleaned it using a non-scratch pad and the stains were gone! All in all, I'm very happy with my first double boiler purchase.

Nice heavy duty steamer

Haven't used the double boiler part yet, but the steamer part is perfect. Fits an entire head of cauliflower or broccoli.

If you need a double boiler, you can stop looking

Great product! It has a great weight- not too heavy but feels quality. Easy to clean and easy to use. Heats evenly. What more can you want?
