First of all, let me start by saying that if you have an Audi that this will fit, it is a must have. This mount insert nicely fills the void around the transmission mount. It prevents the extra, sloppy transmission movement when shifting or accelerating or decelerating. I have a B8.5 S4 with the DSG, and I would notice some slop when on and off the gas at slower speeds (in traffic, for example). I associated it with slop within the transmission, but I was incorrect. The slop was coming from the mount. Shifts are now slightly crisper, but more than anything else, the jerkiness when on and off the gas is gone. My worry that there was a potential issue with my seriously expensive DSG transmission is gone. I should have gotten one of these the day I bought the car. As for the insert itself, it is of very high quality, and it fits perfectly. It is made from billet aluminum, so it is strong and light. It is an obvious clone of the same insert made by a bigger company. However, this unit costs less than half as much, and is the same design and quality. No need to overpay for a brand name for a piece of aluminum you'll never see after installation. Speaking of which.... Installation is about a simple as anything under the car could ever be. It took me much longer to get the car in the air than it did to add this. Simply remove two bolts, slide this into the void around the mount, and replace the bolts. One caveat, you need the correct triple square bit (M10). If you don't have a set, get one. You can't do any real work on your Audi without it anyway. Do NOT use an allen wrench or Torx bit. Just don't. One more note; while the directions don't specifically call for it, blue Loctite is a good idea on the bolts. They don't get torqued very tight, so some blue Loctite ensures they stay in place.

Haven't installed yet, but upon inspection, it is the same billet product at a fraction of the cost of what some of the lead brands are selling it for. I'm waiting for new mount bolts to be delivered by ECS and then I'll be installing. Per factory manual, these bolts should be renewed and tightened to 20Nm plus 90 degrees. Part number N10724701

One solid sexy peice milled from billet aluminum. Fits in perfect and no more slop or jump from the 8 speed tiptronic auto. Added a bit of vibration and noise but not horrible,I will take that over soft and squishy , use blue lock tite as others suggest

Fit like a glove, did knotice a tiny bit more vibration but nothing that will rattle your teeth. Launches and shifts feel right now

Easy install and fits as expected on our 2012 Audi S5 4.2 with manual transmission. Shifting feels great so far. Solidly built, all aluminum and half the price of the market leading product too.

If you don't have this get it. I have a 2008 Audi Q5 w/manual transmission..yes 3 pedals what cars should be. Nonetheless it went in in 10 minutes..took me longer to jack the car up than install it. Major major improvement. Too cheap and easy not to install. Buy it...buy it now!

I did not expect such a dramatic improvement in shifting smoothness. In town is much less jerky. Overall gear changes are much more precise. Great value for the money. And very easy to install.

It's just a CNC'ed piece of aluminum, and this one fits and works perfectly. Way cheaper than any of the tuners. Takes longer to jack the car up than it does to install. Be safe when installing.

Took around 5min to install, it took more time to get the car up on ramps. You will need a 10mm triple square for the two bolts. Shifts are crisper and no more transmission rocking on my dual pulley SQ5. At more than half the price of other mounts, this is worth it. Not really any noticeable increase in NVH. Just amazing.

Makes a small but noticeable difference when shifting on our 2014 SQ5. Shifts are definitely crisper with less feeling of the engine/transmission moving about. Very easy install, jack up car, put jackstand under, two bolts.
