This basket is amazing! I am so happy I finally purchased one. I have always set my Fruit on the counter in the bag which is obviously terrible for them and they go bad so quick this way. I have said for ver a year that I need to get a fruit basket and finally broke down to get one. This is the best basket and I can fit an entire bag of Halo oranges, and Pink Lady apples with room to spare with hanging bananas so they do not over ripe. The basket quality is excellent, the banana hanger is super simple to attach to to the basket or it can be used without the hanger if preferred. The size and durability are fantastic. The basket has not bent with weight. Love it and I’m so happy I went with this one. You will not be disappointed!

It is perfect. Allowed us to get the random fruit off the counter and it holds quite a bit. Assembly was a piece of cake, had it done in about 5 minutes.

I’ve just moved and am looking for products to organize the kitchen. I’ve seen this sort of product over the years (in catalogs and on TV), and I’ve liked the look. When I saw this one offered, I decided to check it out. It comes in a couple “colors,” but, as I’m going for a rustic look in my new kitchen (and since the previous owner went with aged-bronze hardware that I like for that look), I decided to order this in the bronze finish. Reading the reviews, I noticed a few mentioned that this came with missing or uneven feet, making their baskets wobbly. Thankfully, mine had no such issues. The feet (little circles welded onto the base) were well attached and evenly spaced, so no wonky wobbling! The first photo I took was of the instructions page. Just one page. There’s only one thing to assemble, and, for most, it would probably be easy peasy. For me, however, it was an ordeal (thanks to the almost-microscopic screws)! All you have to do is take the hanging-bananas piece and feed it into the waiting brackets at the back, then drive the screws into place to secure the hanging rod. What could be simpler, right? Wrong! Having just trimmed my nails, they weren’t as long as they normally are, but, even with shorter nails, it took me AGES (read: minutes) to get the bloody screws into the tiny holes! Oh, my gosh! You need three hands AND no nails to do it! One hand to hold the basket steady, another to fiddle with the screws, and a third to wipe your brow as you perform delicate surgery! Seriously. There are only two screws, but, man, did it feel as if there were more. My nails kept making it almost impossible to get a hold of the screws and then kept preventing me from getting too close to the basket WITH the screws. I kept losing grip of the screws, dropping them on the counter or floor. It was an interesting endeavor. (And, yes, I’m aware it comes with an Allen wrench, but, well, in the first place, I hate the bloody things as they NEVER work easily for me (though I DID try them anyway) and, in this case, didn’t even fit into the screws to begin with! So, the Allen wrench was a no-go for me.) But to the victor go the spoils—in this case, victress with her first functional fruit basket! Now, I don’t normally leave cantaloupe out on the counter, but I wanted to show the capacity of the interior. The larger oranges and the cantaloupe, and there’s still room inside for, say, apples, lemons, or limes. And to hang the bananas, just put the knob at the end of the hanging arm through the top of the banana cluster. Nothing simpler. So, aside from that little nails-screws hiccup (which wasn’t enough of an issue to detract from a five-star rating), there was no problem in packaging, assembly, or display. I can recommend this product—with only one caveat: If you’re a girl with any amount of nail extending past the fingertips, then find a girlfriend who bites hers or give your man a my-hero thrill by asking him to rescue the long-nailed damsel in distress in dealing with the Lilliputian screws. You’ll make his day and save yourself a headache. (About the pictures: The first is the infamous Instructions page. The second is a shot from the front of the basket. The third is from the side. The fourth is from the back. The fifth is a closeup (and a little blurry) of the arm's bracket-and-screw area.)

This was a bit larger than I had expected, but it’s actually perfect. The bananas hang high enough that they’re not setting on the things in teh basket below. I keep my tomatoes, onions, garlic, and sometimes extra bananas in the bottom part. I always kept either plates or bowls on my counter with these things in them, but this looks much nicer, more organized, and it keeps the bananas better. The color is beautiful. It seems sturdy. I’m happy with it.

Love it! I used to have 4 regular fruit bowls to hold all my stuff. Now I am down to this and one for things like garlic that will fall through the holes. One of my other bowls was a beautiful shamrock green fiestaware bowl and I miss the bright colors of the bowls. Only thing that could be better than this if there was a large 2 tiered solid colorful bowl!

the fruit basket is absolutely fabulous! It arrived quickly and on time. It is an attractive fruit bowl and the design will fit any decor in your home. Great price, and it is a big fruit basket, not tiny, and has plenty of room for lots of fruit and the bananas do not hit the fruit in the bowl. Great deal!

First thing to know is how difficult it is to screw together the hanging banana handle to the fruit bowl. One needs excellent eyesight and very nimble fingers to assemble the 2 parts. It took my more dexterous son about 15 minutes to assemble this lovely fruit bowl. Second, once put together, this is a very beautiful piece. It is heavy enough to know this is made of quality metal (bronze) and I did not find flaws in the scroll work. I believe this can be thought of as a future heirloom piece. Third, I was very surprised at how very large this is! It may have numerous uses for many different applications. This coming Holidays, I plan to gift this to several people.

This fruit basket is a nice accessory for my kitchen. It was easy to assemble, and it's sturdy. My bananas hang on the little hanger thingy, above the rest of the fruit, like the superior fruit they are. The other fruit, and sometimes a few potatoes if I'm feelin' extra carby that week, sit nicely below in the spacious basket. It's roomy and the edges are high enough to fit plenty of stacked fruit and/or veggies. I don't segregate. Fruit and veggies go nicely together. And this basket is their gathering place.

it's beautiful! i like my kitchen to not have a lot of junk on the counter (no appliances out) but it does look a bit lifeless when completely bare so i bought this to give some color and personality to the kitchen. worked perfectly! and encourages the consumption of more fruits & veggies. also i did not have any problem whatsoever with the tiny screws. they are indeed tiny but you get an allen wrench/hex key that you're supposed to use; perhaps those complaining don't know how to use one? stick the tiny screw on the end of the wrench then stick it in the tiny hole, voila mine was put together in literally 15 seconds.

I needed a sturdy, open-work bowl to hold onions because they were not getting sufficient air circulation in the pantry. This is decorative so it can be left on the countertop and sturdy enough to hold large onions. Best of all the onions are staying cooler and not developing soft spots. The bowl would also work for fruit such as large apples, oranges, and other fruit of similar size. Very pleased. I did not attach the "arm" meant to hold bananas so I did not rate the "easy to assemble" option but it looks simple to attach and all of the pieces were included.
