I love them. But I don't make a hole in the bottle. I set them to drop once every second. After awhile there is a vacuum in the bottle and a balance is created. When that happens the water stops dripping. As the day gets warmer the drops start again keep the balance in check. As the day gets cooler, air enters the bottle keeping a balance in check again. It starts all over again the next day. It does don't drip if the air is cooled by rain, keeping the balance.
