This equipment is easy to use. If I had one issue it would be that the slide only holds 4 slides at a time so you have to load it more often. It also would be nice if the slide slots were a little deeper so when your slide is warped it still fits snuggly. Other than that the software is great and I was able to load 9 carousels of slides that I haven't seen for over 20 years!

What I like most is the excellent reproductions. Slides transfer very clearly. I also like that it transfers direct to your computer without the need of a memory card. I have a huge number of slides from past years and to have them done commercially would have been expensive. This solves the problem. Drawbacks are: It's a little slow, you load 4 slides at a time. The light and color adjustments are limited, but I have a program to handle that. I highly recommend.

I had a bunch of slides taken in Vietnam many years ago and wanted to copy to computer - this device made it fast and easy to do all of the boxes of slides

My old slide collection hadn't been viewed in years since I had long since lost the old viewer and projectors are expensive. It doesn't give as detailed a copy as a dedicated scanner, but if you're looking for decent digital versions of your old negatives and slides, this does an excellent job. As far as I am concerned , it's not technically a scanner; rather it's a camera that takes a snapshot of your negative or slide and saves the result as a jpeg. The old slide catches as you operate the manual loader from the stack but that's easily fixed. The software loads the slide image quickly to the screen (I was using my Windows 7 Ultimate laptop) and that's it; saved and viewable for as long as you like. The surprise was the number of pictures that I had completely forgotten about, some going back over 50 years and featuring close relatives who had died in the intervening years. It was marvellous.

Glad I bought this one. Great price for what I needed which was to only convert slides which it did quite easily and well.

Exactly what I needed! Some other reviews said it was difficult to get the software uo and running (Windows 10) but it installed effortlessly for me. Scans simple images of the slides quickly and easily. I have already used for hundreds of images. Highly recommended for an offordable 35mm slide scanning option! I would like to find another tray that fits that has smaller viewing holes to scann 110 slides also, but I have been unable to. They dit in here of course, but become overexposed because the plastic doesn't block the light correctly.

There were many old slides form 1960's from family, in storage for years. It occurred to me that many others had same situation. Amazon has a number of products to can digitize film strips and slides. DIGITNOW has 2 such products, I chose the one for about $43, for that price there not much to lose, and if useless can be returned. I was pleasantly surprised. There are two film carriers, one for film strip negatives, the other for mounted slide positives. I first tried the negative, it worked OK but tedious to load. The slide carrier holds 4 slides, and is reasonably easy to load. After connecting unit to USB port and loading software on CD, was able to digitize several hundred slides. Software is well done and easy to use. When a slide is in position in unit (not a scanner, but image capture with camera) a preview is on computer screen. There are options for negative, slide, and black & white - RBG is option for simple adjustment. Once scan button is pressed, slide is captured and displayed on screen. Options then are to rotate, mirror, save, delete. Slides I worked with were not consistent in terms of mirroring. This is not an issue as photo viewing programs such as Photos on Windows 10 allow mirroring (or flipping) later. One nice feature of software is ability to set up destination folder on computer (I use Dropbox). Software remembers destination, once set images are stored there. There is another version by this provider, about $39. I have no knowledge of this except for Amazon reviews - mostly positive. I purchased more slightly more expensive model with expectation it would be better - may not be true, but doesn't matter, I am happy with a device that serves my purpose. Image quality is very good, mostly depends original slide condition.

Very easy to use/ compact and good quality photo transfer
