Great small entry level laser engraver!

Great small entry level laser engraver! This one was easy to set up and to connect to my laptop. It does allow me to drag and drop images right into the software which is super easy. Overall this is a good beginner laser engraver. It has a small engraving size but that perfect for most entry level testing. It is almost a pure plug n play laser that is also easy to focus. The software does its job and any photo editing needs to be done before dragging and dropping into the laser software.

Fun to Tinker with.

I received the product as described. Works well for what it is and the price. Hopefully they make a larger/More powerful model than the 3000mw unit, and update the software with some more features (Like live picture preview), and i would buy that unit as well.

Very useful machine.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my dad. He does a lot of woodworking and I thought this would help him inscribe his name on the bottom of his pieces because it takes him so long to burn it in by hand. He absolutely loved it. The program is very simplistic, but it makes it very easy to run. Within 10 minutes we had the machine running and we’re burning all different pieces of scrap wood is practice. He used it all day long experimenting with different images and settings. With in one day and he has found so many uses for this machine.

more challenging than printing on paper but less challenging compared to 3D printing

I'm so excited to start using this laser engraver. This is one of my first real splurges of this year but only because I needed to have a few things etched onto wood. It works well albeit it's not that fast. I don't expect laser printer speed so I really don't mind setting it and forgetting it for this to complete. It's not like I'm doing large scale productions. Still, waiting in anticipation is agonizing. The software is relatively straight forward to use. It takes a picture file like a gif or jpg and converts it to greyscale. The print quality is what I expected from the examples shown in the listing. The quality has more to do with the image you're printing compared to this actual engraver. More contrast in the pictures like a true black and white photo will yield better results. The unit itself is also not too bulky. I'm very eager to try different substrates. I tried metal but unfortunately it didn't work. I wasn't expecting it to as the description already said it wouldn't but wishful thinking perhaps? Otherwise, thick cardboard and wood seems to be ideal materials. I'd like to try printing on leather but I don't have any ideas of what to print yet. With the holiday season coming up I'll be making some Christmas cards with this. The kids are having a blast using Microsoft Paint to generate an image to print onto wood. It's a great tool to get them introduced into designing and creating their own products. Next step would be 3D printing but creating STL files seems a lot more advanced compared to MS Paint.

Bought one of these last year for our son for Christmas. He loved it and has experimented often with it. He loves gadgets like this, so it was a perfect match. Now, our daughter wants one too. So, we ordered another one for her for this Christmas. They both have a creative streak, so this was a good find outside the usual arts & crafts type stuff. My kids are both grown too.

Exactly as described

Does what is says on the tin, an easy to set up laser engraving machine, some of the instructions are less than clear, but if you can make it past the broken English you shouldn't be dissapointed.

Very cool for small projects This is my first time using this machine. My friend introduced me to buy this compact and lightweight one. So happy to use it. This little machine works well on the cases as well as on gift tags. The operation is very simple. Use the picture software to make the pattern to be engraved. It can be directly carved onto the wood slices or onto the phone.The finished product is very clear and beautiful.

Very happy with my purchase

This laser worked better than expected. It takes a little bit to figure out the best position of the laser but once you figure it out, it is easy. It is so user-friendly, the machine is exactly as described. It is a plug and plays the machine, for small areas. I really recommends it.

Easy to use and good quality output

This machine works very well. Software is easy to use, and I was able to engrave several items very quickly. Approximately 1” diameter image takes about 10 minutes to engrave. Max size image took over an hour. Very happy with the product so far.
