When I found out that Apeman had a game camera, I had to try one. It is extremely easy to use and set up. In the box, you get a strap, a camera base mount, the camera itself, manual, and a USB cable to connect it to your computer. NOTE: This camera requires the use of 8 AA batteries. These do not come with the camera. I was able to set the camera up in a matter of minutes. I left the camera out for 3 nights and got a ton of pictures! I posted 4 of my favorites to go with this review. The camera captured a Fox, Raccoon, Neighbors Cat (lol), and a curious deer coming to eat our bushes. The camera quality is really nice and you can adjust the motion sensitivity in the settings. All in all, I think this is a fantastic game camera and I know you'll enjoy it. I'll probably use this to do some scouting for the upcoming hunting season too! I hope you found this review helpful in some way. If you did, consider clicking the helpful button down below the review to let me know. Thanks!

I just received my order of an Apeman H55 and so far I am quite impressed. First off, the customer service has been exceptional. I contacted Apeman with some questions prior to ordering when I was considering which camera to get. They were amazingly prompt and very helpful in their response and providing the information I was looking for. And they were great about following up to be sure they had answered all my questions. Then after purchase, they again promptly contacted me to thank me for the purchase and remind me that their customer support is ready to help with any further questions/issues should I need it. Thus, so far, they certainly get my highest rating in terms of customer service. The camera itself seems to be very well designed and the manual is clear with very easy to follow instructions. The camera seems loaded with features and adjustable settings that should suit all my needs, and the controls and menus appear to be fairly intuitively laid out and easy to use. The camera construction also appears to be high quality. The parts seem to fit together nicely, which bodes well for the IP66 weatherproof rating it carries, and that is essential given it will be out in the elements and I live on the coast where the salt water spray can cause issues. So I am giving this one a strong 5 stars based on the great service I have received so far and the initial impressions of the camera’s design and build. Plus, the price is very reasonable given the camera’s specs. Once I have had a chance to really run the camera through its paces, I will update this review if it does not live up to its promise and I encounter any problems or issues that users should be aware of.

I have 10 of these, from the 12 - 20 MP. Easy to set up. Very reliable. Great pictures and videos both day and night!

Easy to use, I like how each photo has the temperature, time, date, and is clear to see. Comes with all the cords you'll need. Manual is easy to follow and in many languages including English. Programming in device was easy to use as well. The tree strap is plenty long for even our largest pine trees and easy enough to use that my son who is 6 could help. Pictures are color by day and black and white in poor lighting or at night Lots of great ways to use this: Find out who/what is walking thru your yard Track wildlife movement Track movement in parts of your yard difficult to see Family and pet photos with ease - simply set it to take 3 at a time and generally we found one we liked, especially with all the movement setting it off. Downside: does not come with SD Card and takes 8 AA Batteries (which is 1 pack at my local $ store) so not a big deal but worth mentioning.

I have had this for a few months and have been able to test it thoroughly. Overall it does just what I wanted it to. It has been out in the wettest winter in 10 years with no problems. During daylight, including dawn and dusk, the camera captures good color images, if somewhat over-saturated. At night, the IR LEDs illuminate out to about 15', maybe 20' with poor contrast. But as a camera trap, 15' should be enough. The attached photo is a crop of an image of a bobcat at about 15'. The sensor picks up animals as small as hares, even a flock of small birds. The only negative is that the motion sensor appears to have a larger field-of-view than the camera, so occasionally I will have a still or video with nothing in it. Not a big deal, especially for the price. If you find that your pictures look fuzzy, make sure you have removed all of the layers of protective film on the camera, case, and sensors. They are all over on this thing.

I havnt gotten a chance to use it on a trail yet, but I set this up arround my house inside and out and was very impressed with the quilaty of the images in the night vison mode and in normal lighting, videos also look good and clear. the packaging was actually very good. The build quality is really good as well I left it out all night in the rain and let it take pictures of my dogs in the back yard and they turned out good and the camera had no faults despite it pouring down on the camera. It also comes with a very nice strap to mount the camera on trees and a solid mount you can screw to something then mount the camera on that. Great deal would buy again.

This camera is simply fantastic. The sensors pick up critters and cars as they approach so that they get in the picture. Most cameras will start taking pictures as the object entered the front sensor, and usually gets the picture too late. With the side facing sensors, the camera sees what’s coming up and starts taking the pictures as the object enters the cameras photo zone. This is the first camera I have ever seen that can take nine pictures. It’s like watching a movie on 4k. The clarity is beautiful and the night mode is fantastic. As you can see from the night pictures, you can identify a SUV and a car. Keep in mind that this is in the forest with absolutely no light what so ever! The camera is extremely easy to program with its large LCD screen. Push the “menu” button and go into each category for programming. You can choose what picture quality you want, and I use the second lowest just for space on the card. Living in the forest, there’s always foxes, coyotes, raccoons, and other animals in the pictures. There is a movie mode that I have I haven’t tried yet. You can review the pictures on the LCD screen so it’s not necessary to remove the full size SD card. Each menu option is easy to see on the screen, and scroll to each item, click enter, then choose the settings such as if you want 12/24 clock, sound modes, movie length, and many more. Time and date is extremely easy to set. On the opposite side is the battery compartment which is easy to remove and put on. It holds the batteries securely as so they don’t fall out when the case is open. There is a solid metal stand with anchors that comes with the camera. It is adjustable and enables you to put the camera on any tree or even your house. I was very impressed with that and hopefully I can order more so I can move the camera around. The camera comes with a good heavy duty strap. The clamp is solid and easier to close compared with the standard clamps where you have to loop the strap through. The best part is that the strap is brown, not a shiny black like the other non name brands come with. Having a black strap ruins the camo effect when using for security. So if your buying to watch around the house, this is the one you need to get with the tree brown strap. The camera is very high quality. I was very impressed with the metal clasps that hold the camera closed. They are the largest and most solid out of all my cameras. There is no chance of moisture getting into the camera. They close with a good solid click. The camouflage pattern of the camera blends in very well on trees. Since the strap is really big, you can even go around big oak trees. The heavy duty clamp secures the camera to the tree tightly. This would be perfect for home security, especially for package deliveries. Position the camera so the motion of the delivery person sets it off and so it will take the photos as the person goes up and leaves your porch. With this, you’ll get great pictures if the package is stolen. Setting up the camera is easy and keep in mind, you should try different angles In test mode, you can see a red light flashing so you know the distance it is seeing you. This makes set up easy. For security, you want to keep the camera away from eye length and go either high or very low. For wildlife adjust to what ever you want to see. If you can set the camera on a tree in a clearing, you’ll get tons of pictures. Overall, this is the best camera I have. It puts my expensive name brand cameras to shame. I can find no faults with it at all. The cameras quality is excellent, it’s extremely easy to program, the picture clarity is perfect, and it’s built better than any other of my eight game cameras.

The camera seems well built and well thought out, and comes with two mounting choices. It was very easy to program and a breeze to mount. I just set the camera out, so I am unable to comment on night vision and day picture quality, or battery life, but will add to my comments in 10 days or so. The camera is smaller than the photo portrays which to me is a bonus as I am using the "no-glow" feature to my advantage as a security camera. I have and have had MANY trail cameras, and this low cost one has all of the features of the spendy ones, a better mounting system and is considerably easier to program. That's a good start.
