What's not to love?

I have to admit, I was skeptical of dropping $200+ on a laser level that wasn't a Dewalt or a Bosch, but I needed a new 3-plane laser and was really looking for a green laser I could use outdoors on occasion. While this isn't rated for outdoor use primarily, I wouldn't be using it outdoors 90% of the time and I didn't want a laser so intense that I'd be concerned about my vision using it indoors. For the price, I could get a solid performing RED Bosch that would be terrible outdoors, so I gambled on the positive reviews and I'm glad I did. This laser is much brighter than the red lasers I've used and is clearly visible at 50+ft indoors in daylight. It's visible outdoors in shade as well and it's compatible with Huepar detectors to extend that range. What closed the deal was the power options. Being able to buy Samsung batteries or use a AA battery adapter or wall-wart adapter are fantastic options. I use this laser all day long and have yet to wear out a single charge on-site in a day. The attached picture is shooting a level/plumb point directly above a sink in a kitchen renovation to locate a new pendant light. It also shows the laser 20' beyond on a sunlit wall, clear as day. The tool feels substantial and well built.. I am very pleased with its performance and glad I took a chance on Huepar!

Very Happy. I would recommend this product

The unit performs as intended. I didn't experience any of the issues listed by other commenters. There was no loud noise when out of level and I could see the beam outside; although at larger distances I didn't have to wait until after sundown. However, the beam traveled well over 150'. I like the plumb line when using all three beams and it fit perfectly on an old camera tripod with no thread problems. Turning it off also locks the pendulums which is very handy. Battery life is more than adequate and I used it for over an hour and still had charge. Having the ability to use disposable batteries as well as the rechargeable is a great benefit if your rechargeable runs out with no where to recharge.

Great Laser Level, Well Worth the money, a Real Tool!

I am all about quality tools. And I spent many years in the construction trades. This Huepar laser lever is a really decent tool. It's right up there with the DeWalt and Bosch. This level is accurate and the green line is well defined. It has a sturdy rugged feel to it. The brass inserts on the bottom for mounting are qaulity where it counts. I mounted this on a camera tripod and then directly onto a surveyor's tripod without a problem. It has three types of power options; 1. Rechargeable lithium battery pack, 2. Plug adapter directly in wall socket, 3. A adapter battery holder that holds 4 AA batteries. So you could even use rechargeable AA if you like. The lithium is the longer use time, so I keep the alternative batteries for emergency. A little bonus is that you can recharge the lighium battery while it remains in the laser or charge it with the included external charger. The laser does work while it's behind charged as well. The laser has battery charge indicater lights. Operation is very simple. I didn't need to read the instruction booklet. The included magnetic mounting base is very strong. It can easily hold the weight of the laser to the side of a fridge or metal stud.. I like this 3 plane 360 laser because it's level and plum for working on walls, ceilings. And floors. One laser, one tripod. The green is so much better than the red. I did try it outside in full sunlight. At 30ft I was able to see it faintly on the side of the house, but as with all lasers it's really not practical unless you purchase a laser detector if working outside on fences, gutters, etc. This laser does have pulse mode, so you can purchase the Huepar laser detector as well. The Huepar laser detector will be my next purchase. So I'll be sure to do a review on it. I'm really glad I took the chance and bought this Huepar, hope this review helps others.

Best Bang for the Buck... period

There are small sections of the beam that is blocked by the housing but other than that, I have only a small complaint. I have used both the self leveling and locked modes. Self leveling is great because it tells you when you are buying the leveling capability of the leveler. In locked mode, I found that occasionally the pendulum would move this causing me to reset the position of the level. Other than that... no issues (yet) I bought the version that came with the base that had a magnetic piece. That was very handy as that’s what I used to hold the level where I needed it. Also. I bought the green laser because of the better visibility. Some reviews say you can’t see it outside while others said you could. Of course I had to try it for myself. I’d say I was able to see the laser at about 15-20ft in full daylight. Past that it was indeed very difficult to see. At first I was disappointed because I am expecting to see a green laser perform like the one on my pistol. Then I thought to myself, when am I ever going to need to to get a leveled line outside beyond 20ft? For me that answer is probably never. I am sure they make really good green laser levels that will shine a leveled line up to 50ft or more. I bet they cost a ton more than this one.

A great value for a quality feature packed laser level

This is my second Huepar laser level that I purchased on Amazon. I gave that unit one hell of a workout recently as my daughter and her husband are building a home here in Florida. I was so impressed with the first one that when I saw this new model come out I just couldn't resist purchasing it for the squaring capability. I really can't say anything bad about this laser. It is a quality and well designed tool that stands up to the big name high priced units out there. I have used other big name lasers in the past but this is my go to level now. I have to give credit to the designers of this tool. It is a very well thought-out design. It feels rugged in your hands, it poweres up in the horizontal only mode (the most frequently used mode), the lithium ion battery and built-in charging and charge level indicator on the unit along with AA battery back up, the nice well padded carry case, easy one button selection of laser modes, the list goes on and on. Some reviewers mentioned that the laser line it doesn't show up well outside in daylight. Like I said, I have used other big name lasers of this type in the past and none of them work well outside in daylight. You really have to wait until dusk for outside use. You might get better performance from a single beam rotary laser but now you are talking 3 to 4 times the price. If you register your laser with Huepar the warranty is extended to 2 years. I contacted Huepar about obtaining a spare lithium ion battery for my laser. They quickly responded and they are available on Amazon for under $10. Hats off to you Huepar, great job !!!

Good for indoor use

Easy to use laser level with nice features. A good value and price on a 3 plain laser level for indoor use. I believe the tool is made with good quality materials and felt sturdy. Out of the box it seemed accurate as lines stayed at the same wall position when locking and unlocking pendulum, turning it off and on. The levels accuracy/calibration was not correctly tested before it was returned. It would not serve the purpose I bought it for. My issue is the tools laser visibility in bright or sunlight conditions. In bright conditions it is extremely difficult to see the lines even at very close ranges. (3-5' away) Lines are not viewable after that distance in daylight or cloudy conditions. The green "Enhancement Glasses" don't help to see the line outdoors or inside. Maybe the receiver will work for some outdoor leveling applications. It's not a practical tool for exterior use on elevated areas of vertical walls. Marking lines for layout of precast details on homes or buildings in sunlight or bright conditions is not possible. Using this tool at dusk or dawn it may be possible when used with the receiver but not practical. I don't recommend this laser for any daytime outdoor use without buying the receiver also. Returned it and the glasses. I'll be buying a highly rated laser for outdoor use next. The new laser's cost is not much more than this one with the receiver and glasses added. Update on review 9/3/19 Huepar, Level World and rep Renee have been a pleasure to buy from and I appreciate their integrity. Based on my experience with them buying items, returning, questions, support, fast service and attention to it all I highly recommend them. They have made this purchase. Easy to use

My husband used this to install cabinets in a house he helped build. It is very simple to use and made the installation so much easier. He set it up on the stand and was able to trace lines on the wall throughout the kitchen. It took seconds to line up the cabinets as opposed to having to use a level and measure everything out. The carrier is great! It is a softer case with a zipper but sturdy and reinforced. The case is also well organized and has everything in it and easily accessible. It’s small and fits easily into the garage and into the truck when you need it. Great product! I plan on giving one to my dad too!

Yes, this is an awesome product.

I purchased this product for use in a professional theater environment for set construction and alignment as well as taping the floor in the rehearsal space. The green laser projects extremely visible in all light conditions. The 360 degree projection in all three axis makes leveling and aligning far superior to any single line (laser pointer) style level. The construction of the device an accessories is solid and professional. The nylon case with form fitting foam is superior to anything I own except the one designed for my optical telescope. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Great Deal, Awesome Product

I am a full-time remodeling contractor, and this is the second laser level I've bought on Amazon. The first was another brand, and I was happy with it for a long time, until it stopped showing true level & plumb lines. The Huepar is what I bought to replace it. This laser level is superior in a number of ways. 1) It offers three plane leveling- This is unbelievably helpful in laying out true squares, be it for framing rooms or tiling floors. Especially in older homes, nearly every wall and floor you've ever set eyes on is either out of plumb, out of level, or out of square. Having a laser that can project on THREE planes allows you to address all three of these conditions. 2) The 360 degree projection is LIGHTYEARS better than a simple crossbeam projection. No need to adjust as you work around the room. 3) The Green beam is much more visible than the red beam of my old level. 4) You won't find another laser level with all the functions of this one ANYWHERE NEAR the price point of this one. It is an incredible deal for what you get. 5) The packaging and quality of this one is far superior to my previous level. This one came in a well-designed padded case, with individual compartments for each of the different components. Also, I am a tool-snob, because I do this stuff all day- I own top of the line tools almost every category. But you can't get a DeWalt laser level with all of these functions for less than $1000, so I bought this one, and honestly the quality seems quite good. I don't see anything to complain about. All in all, I think this is the best deal out there, and I'm very happy with it. Plus it comes with a two year warranty, which isn't bad in the tool business.
