Good value

I researched prices for this item to use in crafting and these were the best deal that I found even after checking Michaels and Hobby Lobby, they were also every bit as good quality as what those stores have.

Cheap, but great quality!

This was perfect for what I was making! Wish they’d hurry and get more in stock because buying them here was cheaper than going to Hobby Lobby!

Excellent

Much higher quality than the hoops found at common craft stores for a fraction of the cost. Edges are slightly rounded and smooth with no signs of splintering. Inner and outer hoops fit nicely together for a tight grip on Fabrice.

Well worth the cost

Some of the best made wooden hoops I’ve ever bought. Sturdily made. No splinters or splintering. The thumb screws don’t stick and are easy to turn. A bit pricy but well worth the cost. I look forward to buying more for future cross stitch and embroidery projects!

Great except the plastic tag

EDIT: I just bought these again and they came in without the blue plastic!!!! A dream come true!!!! These worked great for the Christmas ornaments we are making with them. However, the metal pieces are covered in a blue plastic film (maybe to keep from getting scratched) that was very tedious and frustrating to remove. Since the plastic is blue, if you don't remove every little piece it is pretty obvious and ugly. For people who aren't committed to spending 5+ minutes per ring on removing the plastic slowly and meticulously, these might not be for you. If you don't mind that sort of thing, they were great. :)

Holds fabric tight!

These are my favorite hoops of all the brands I’ve tried. Wood is high quality and the closure piece stays put. I rarely have to retighten my work as I’m stitching; it holds its tightness very well. It also doesn’t come with that stupid blue tape which is an added bonus! These will be my go-to hoops from here on out!

Perfect for ornaments

Used these for 2 inch square cross stitch motifs as Christmas ornaments for teacher gifts when the 4 inch hoops available locally were just a touch too big. They were the perfect size and much sturdier, had heavier wood, and a smoother finish than all the flimsy wood hoops available at big box craft stores near me too. The quality was amazing for the price. Hoops available in store splinter, break and bend easily, but these held up to all my frantic last minute gluing and retying of ribbons without any signs of wear. Will definitely order these again for finishing embroidery projects in the hoop. The only possible negative--since I didn't test it--is the finish is smooth so you might want to scuff it a little if you plan on painting them.

Little Hoops, Big Impact

These little hoops are perfect for the small embroideries I'm making for a craft show this month. They were easy to use and the screws were a good quality. Some people said removing the blue scratch- prevention cello was difficult, but with a PR of tweezers it pulled right off. You can add a little bow tacked on at the top...and tie a little ribbon or string on top to hang it by. They would make nice Christmas Tree ornaments.
