This worked very well.

This worked very well for me. I've had my windshields repaired by the pros in the past, and they've done great but in the right light you can still see the very faint sight of what happened. I've chosen not to have windshield coverage on my insurance (lowers my premium), so something like repairing a rock chip was more pricey than I thought. That's when I thought to search Amazon. This product worked very well for me but, I read the instructions very closely several times. The product comes in a reusable plastic bag, and it would appear to me that you can use it in the future. For me, I had to windshields that needed repair so while one car was curing I moved to the next, and both were fixed as if I had taken it to the shop (in the right light you can still see something happened but, you have to know where you're looking). Again, be sure to read the instructions very closely...if that's not a strength of yours than find some one will read them closely for you :)

Works great and easy to use!

I had a chip in my windshield. I used this product and it is like it was never there. It was easy to use and I was finished in about 30 minutes. I recommend this product to anyone who doesn't want to pay $100 for some company to do what this does for less then $15. Great product.

Shocked

Had low expectations. Was shocked when it filled in a bullseye on the inner layer of glass almost perfectly. Pushed the piston and filled up chamber a few times but could watch it fill more and more each time. Wish the seal for the piston actually sealed, but you get what you pay for. 24 hours of plowing snow with defrost on the whole time and see no issues whatsoever. I'll order another just to have. Cheaper than ins deductible.

Perfectly decent kit and a great value

This kit is pretty similar to almost any other windshield chip repair kit, and it's also identical to many others being sold on Amazon by different companies so it's worth it to shop around. When it comes to DIY windshield repair I feel that past a certain point technique is more important that the kit itself, so be sure to educate yourself before attempting a repair. There's a great video by Chrisfix on YouTube that has helped me a lot, although he uses a syringe kit to repair his chip. And if you're looking for a flawless repair one of those kits may be the way to go. This one however is perfectly fine for simply sealing up small chips and cracks before they get bigger, and can be used multiple times to boot. I myself used this kit to seal three cracks at once. A pretty good deal for $12. Overall a decent product that does its job for cheap. If I had to improve it I would add more plastic sheets, since you'll run out of those before you do resin.

Everything you need for a DYI windshield repair at a great price

We had notice chips in the windshield from large pebbles and a small crack. I compared the price of windshield repair kit in the large chain store and products on Amazon. For the same price this windshield repair kit and a few others came with the sealant injector and other useful items for DYI. I didn't have any issue with the chips. The crack was another matter. It's my fault mind you. Let you be warned, be careful. Apparently I tightened the injector too much on to the windshield, new cracks appeared. I wasn't able to seal it properly to make them invisible. I am hoping that it will hold, so far so good. Wear gloves, the sealant has a scented spicy odor. The sealant bottle is small but there are enough sealant for several large bull eyes. The suction cups really take hold, wish the dash folks would use these. If only they could be reused to hold other items on the dash. There is a surprise gift which you have to contact seller to get. Time will tell whether the seller will honor the gift. I will update the post in due time. The bottom line, get it and give it a try; just take it easy on tightening the injector. Believe it!!!! I just have to update. They offered a free gift for posting a review. I would have post a review anyway with or without the free gift. Other sellers offer free gift too, so what's up Doc? This seller delivered as promised.

You get what you pay for

I have never used a product like this so this is a truly beginner's attempt. I honestly can say I expected this to turn it much worse. Those of you complaining that the chip cracks as you apply pressure need to understand that glass with integrity flaws is gong to crack when pressure is applied...it's a fact of life. That's why you do the crack treatment after the chip treatment. It's honestly not rocket science. I had to repair three chips. While I didn't return my windshield to factory perfection or even professional repair status, in happy with the results for what I paid. Each repair I did I got better with it. The last one looks really great. If you thought you were going to get perfection for what you're paying here then I have some ocean front property in North Dakota I would love to sell you. For what I paid I think it works great. The pictures included in my review are not of the same crack.

Worked on my 2014 BMW 328i

I thought I would give this a try. I had a big asphalt rock hit my windshield while I was driving on the highway and I got a smaller than a dime sized star chip in my windshield. The star chip looked like it had black inside of it. I used this product as directed and now the chip is no longer black and reduced in size by 95%. It is not perfect but it sure beats paying a local company $185 to professionally fix. I would highly recommend you give it a try. The key is to make sure you have sunlight so the glass filler can harden. The hole I had from the rock was a pin hole and I did not think the product would be able to get inside but it sure did and filled the small star cracks. Again, it is not perfect but well worth the $12 paid with shipping and the 20 minutes it took from start to finish.

Easy and quick to use. I had a bigger than normal crack and I was able to use it several times to get it just right.

Just as good as glass shop repair

This kit gave me results just as good as what I get at the glass repair shop. I've had many windshield chips filled in over the years on my vehicles. I figured if those clowns can do it, why can't I? Read the reviews/comments on several of these kits and settled on this one. Amazon had it to me in 2 days and the repair took about 30 minutes from when I opened the kit to when I finished the job. Instructions were clear, all the materials were obvious, and I had no issues filling in a chip and crack about the size of my small fingernail. I'll update my review after a couple of months to reflect durability, but as of now, I'm pretty pleased with the results.

Great DIY Windshield Crack Repair Kit !

I’ve had stones chip my 1998 Camry’s windshield 3 or 4 times over the years and I’ve used several different types of repair kits. I used this kit to repair the most recent chip, that occurred on I-95 South about two weeks ago. It was a "bulls-eye" chip with a center about 1/8” round and 3 radiating cracks with a radius from the chip of about ¾”. The kit worked very well and although I can still slightly see the crack if I look from the right angle, the crack is sealed and won’t grow any bigger. It is good enough to pass the state safety inspection. Make sure to follow the instructions - do the repair in the shade then after removing the applicator (leave the plastic curing strip on) move the car so sunlight illuminates the repair for at least 15 minutes. This allows the resin to cure and harden. In other words, do not do the repair on a cloudy day because you will need the sunlight to cure the resin. I assume you could probably use a UV light to cure the resin if need be. Make sure to clean the area first, and if you used a glass cleaner, let it dry for 15 minutes or so before starting the repair. The instructions say to use the included razor blade to scrape and ensure there are no loose glass fragments in the chip, but I also used a needle, which penetrated the chip better. When you center the X-shaped applicator over the chip, and before using the resin, go inside the car and look carefully to make sure the applicator hole is actually centered correctly. Also make sure that the hole in the rubber tip is not squeezed so tightly that it closes. If you use a hair dryer to warm the inside of the windshield, I recommend setting it to “warm”, not “hot”. Overall, this is an excellent windshield repair kit which filled the cracks completely and resulted in a great repair.
