But very tight to sert the card and pull out the card. Generally speaking, it a good one.

Well needed

I'm so glad I got this item because my old fashioned laptop computer does not have an SD card slot where you can slide it in by itself (without the SD card reader).

I bought it because it was presented alongside of the cards I bought as being necessary for use with the cards I bought but so far among the cards I bought and the ones I already had, I haven't been able to get one to fit inside of it, either SD HC or SD XC so I don't know what kind of card fits in it but I know I don't have any of 'em.

Great for transferring/Copying Data/Pics

I use this for transferring Pics and movies from older/smaller capacity cards to larger/newer cards. Works great, with good transfer speed.

Will deliver the advertised speed for the Sandisk 170MB/S card

I'm attaching screen shots of tests on the Sandisk 170MB/S card. One of them is using this SanDisk reader (175MB/S on read and 100MB/S on write), the other is using a generic USB3.0 reader (70-80MB/S overall). The difference is quite significant. This reader does pair well with the Sandisk 170MB/S card. My reader does not have the issue on the very tight card slot reported by other reviewers. The card slot works fine as a normal reader does.

If you have large SD Sandisk Extreme cards for your DSLR cameras....just get this card reader. I was blown away how fast it can copy LARGE files to my PC for editing. I was using the SD card reader in my laptop to xfer files from my 128GB xtreme card...and this one is night and day difference with USB3! I am totally pleased with it. for now 5 stars! Ill follow up in a few months to see how its holding up. Small, compact, perfect travel with in my camera bag.
