Impressive machine. Gets all the jobs done. Refurbished is way to go.

I am amongst all the people wondering if this is worth it... well... let me tell you if you looking for a blender that can literally pulverize ice and make frozen strawberrys seeds and all disintigrate into the smoothest sherbert you've ever ate in your life than YES buy this blender did I mention kt can make hot soup? It can! This thing is the Cadillac of blenders why juice when you can whole food juice? Amazing buy! Got mine refurbished like brand new. :)

Amazing. Use this blender multiple times per day for smoothies and it cleans wuiy and easily. Love it.

I love my Vitamix! I’ve had no problems and I’ve made cheese sauce and smoothies and soup and milks.. It works great and I am very pleased with it.

In the past, I had a “thrifty” mentality about this expensive brand. I purchased a refurbished one, on a flash deal a few weeks back. I’m in awe of this Model A2500. Straight forward instructions. Great website for recipes and how too’s. Excellent smoothies, superior to the n**** b*ll**. I wished the hard cover recipe book in 3 languages, was 3 separate booklets language specific, to save space on the cook book shelf.

Love this blender. Ability to either use a preset setting or manual speed/duration. Fantastic. Even used instead of a food processor to make sweet potato soufflé. Does not compare to low end blenders in its power - truly in a class of its own.

I am super impressed by this machine. It’s changed my diet in a drastic and good way. It is so easy to use. I just put my ingredients in and hit the smoothie button, one minute later I have whole fruit and vegetables and all of their fiber and juices. I was skeptical about the price but I do not regret it one bit! I am ordering one for my mother for Christmas now!

You may be looking at this blender and asking yourself, is it worth it? The answer is YES. Until this lovely little appliance arrived on my doorstep, I was one of those people who seriously doubted the Vitamix hype. I mean, it's a blender. How different can it be from a $100 blender or a $40 blender? Well, I was sold on the Vitamix the first time I used it. In fact, I packed up my Ninja for the next yard sale almost immediately. We're big fans of smoothies in this house. I like to throw all kinds of greens and chia seeds and the like into my smoothies and was always pretty happy with the results using my old blender. If I added ice, I might have a couple of unblended chunks, but no big deal. The texture of green smoothies was fine, but I honestly believed blending kale or spinach and expecting an actual smooth smoothie was unrealistic. With the Vitamix, no matter what I add to my smoothie, I get such a well blended, totally smooth result every single time. For example, this morning I blended almond milk, spinach, chia seeds, frozen strawberries, protein powder, Swerve (a sweetener), and a bit of vanilla extract. The finished smoothie was delicious and completely blended. Even the chia seeds were undetectable! In yesterday's smoothie, I added a couple of handfuls of ice cubes and after blending, not even the tiniest ice chunk ended up in my smoothie. The control panel has ten levels and a digital timer so you can see how long you've been blending. When you get up to level 10, the Vitamix gets pretty loud. There are also settings for smoothie, sorbet, and soup as well as a "pulse" level. The lid camps on tightly and has a removable central plug for adding ingredients as you blend. It also comes with a tamper for pushing down ingredients and a big, colorful, hardcover cookbook (half in English and half in French). The cookbook is very nice with enough recipes to get you started and plenty of color photos. Each recipe includes nutrition info, which is great if, like me, you are counting carbs. You can also find plenty of recipes with an online search. The first recipe I made in the Vitamix was Cream of Asparagus Soup. I was extremely skeptical of how the soup would turn out. My normal soup process starts with sauteing onions, carrots, and celery, then adding garlic, then stock, etc to build up flavor. A soup made with only chicken stock, asparagus, and half and half couldn't possibly be all that great, right? Wrong. After adding the stock and my steamed asparagus to the Vitamix, I started the soup cycle. Less than six minutes later, I blended in the half and half, added salt and pepper to taste, and was pleasantly surprised to have one of the tastiest soups I've ever tried. My husband, who isn't a big fan of asparagus, loved the soup as well. It was so easy and quick and the clean up is a breeze. The footprint of the blender is a little larger than I'm used to. We don't have counter space for it, so it lives on top of the fridge. The container doesn't lock into the base, so if you store it on a shelf somewhere, don't try to move the base and the container together or the container may fall off and whack you in the face. Yes, that is personal experience talking. For what it's worth, the container is sturdy enough to forcefully whack a person's face and not crack or even have the lid come unclasped. I can't recommend this blender strongly enough. Over the years, I have tried blenders from the low and mid price range, and none of them come close to the Vitamix. I am going to invest in the personal blending cup add on for the Vitamix so we can make single servings of smoothies to go.

Wanted to upgrade to a newer version of Vitamix, though my older Vitamix (I've had for about 14 years) still works perfectly; I'm passing it down to my daughter and know she will get years more use out of it. This was such a great purchase!
