I got the kit only after 3 days I ordered it. Amazon prime rules. I am beyond satisfied with this kit, it arrived just in time for my next hike. It's got everything I need for my adventure. My favorite personal is the knife, very solid and sturdy. Also the blanket surprised me of how warm it is, and it's easy to fold and store in the case. I am very happy with my purchase, I will definitely be buying this kit for my niece for her birthday coming up.

Great knife, I am also using the other items

Great knife, I am also using the other items! I wanted something compact for a very long motorcycle trip, so space was an issue. I first thought I would use the knife and maybe the flashlight and it was still worth the money. But I went on a trial camping trip this weekend and I was surprised how a lot of the stuff in the box came in handy.

Better then expected

This product exceeded my expectation, I wish the case was a bit bigger or more sturdy but it holds everything. I was expected the knife to be cheaply made but it is heavy and sharp; seems of great quality... My arm hair can attest to the sharpness. It's perfect for the Hiking/Camping/Outdoor excursion you are planning. Just add a couple more items to it and your good to go. Bang for your Buck is definitely there.

This is a great kit for camping and hiking and good addition to a bug out bag. I bought this one for my daughter as she is an avid hiker and now camper. Nice compact kit and can be combined easily with a first aid kit. Am ordering another for my truck.

Compact Survival Kit- with plenty of useful gadgets

I wanted a Survival Kit for my truck and for my weekends getaway hikes. The Case is durable and comes with very quality products that you will find useful for everyday use. I'll quickly run down the list: LED Flashlight: Perfect pocket size and it has a zoom and stobe. Folding Knife: Very solid and sharp with breaking glass tip and seatbelt cutter. Pliers: Very stong and compact with difrent tools, one of my favorite Items. Survival Bracelet: Cool Gadget.. I use it when I jogg in the forest paths. Emergency Whistle: Loud, light and nice finish. I attach it to my wife keys, just in case. Wire Saw: I like this new update wiresaw with plastic loops, way better grip. Tourniquet - Long and elastic, I hope I will never use it, but is good to have. Fire Starter: A must have and the rod is longer then my previous Flint. Emergency Blanket: Light and I like the gold finish. Multi tool card: Good tool with lots of features for small fixes Carabiner: Versitile, I keep it at Key chain, also I attach my aluminum bottle when I hike. Water bottle clip: Did not use it.. but I like the 1 click away feature. Plastic case: Its padded and compact! I found this Kit a great value for what you get. It`s reliable Kit to have it in your car or in any outdoors activity.

Amazing customer service

So I can’t speak towards the items specifically because it’s a present I’m giving to someone and it’s a little ways out before that happens. HOWEVER, I would like to say I had fantastic customer care and support. The first item arrived with a crack in the outer shell (box) and when I received an email from Kevin with Ronin outdoors. I explained that the box wasn’t very important but it was a present for someone so I was a little bummed that it wasn’t completely intact. I honestly wasn’t expecting much help just because it was only the outer box. Kevin fixed the entire situation and honestly I wasn’t even pushing for him to fix it. He was determined to make sure I was cared for. Kevin was phenomenal about making sure I was 100% satisfied. This experience was the best online customer service I’ve ever had. I’m one of those people that never leaves a comment but I had to after this because they made everything so easy on me. They saw room for improvement for my situation and they made it happen. THANKS AGAIN KEVIN!

This outstanding kit has everything I need!

I was pleasantly surprised how many useful items this kit has. It's remarkable how many tools fit in such a compact and organized kit and how handy and helpful they are in all sorts of situations. The compact size makes it perfect to keep in my car to always have it close and to feel assured that all those survival and useful tools are there when i need them. Great Quality.Great product and makes a great gift as well!

Good kit: Review from a 34 yr old single mom

I bought two of these kits, one for me, and one for my dad for Father's Day. They arrived in 2 days since I have Amazon Prime. The company obviously cares about your survival because they took the time to make a nice brochure with tips on how to use certain items. I know it seems self explanatory, but for the non-avid camper or survivalist, it had good tips since this could be a gift for your mom or daughter. The signal mirror has a little star in the middle for you to look through. The brochure teaches you to aim your signal mirror at a plane or other personnel and you make a "V" with your fingers outstretched and it teaches your to aim properly and explains how to even do the S-O-S message. This would be good for a kid or your grandma to know. (Or even me lol). The knife is a good size and features a seat belt cutter, and a tip to break window glass. This alone probably makes the kit worth it instead of buying a separate glass breaker from Target or Walmart. The compass rotates so you can figure out your magnetic variation. The brochure even shows you your mag var based on your geographic location in the United States. Tip: I took the compass into a room with the lights off and it didn't light up, I was disappointed at first since I had 2 kits and neither compass was illuminated. So I left them out and started looking at the rest of the items in the kit. About 10 mins later I went back into the dark room and the compasses started to glow. I don't know if they are light activated or solar or what, but they did work after that. I included a dark photo of them both glowing in this review. The flashlight is bright but you do need a battery as it doesn't come with one, so install that before you throw the kit in your glove box or boat or wherever, otherwise it will be useless. Tip: to change the battery, there is an orange button at the bottom of the flashlight, right next to the button rotate the black section counterclockwise. I couldn't figure it out until I asked another buyer. The multi tool metal piece seems handy and is smaller than a credit card. It would easily fit in your wallet. The bottle holder works well. The little S clip type item holds 20 lbs. The tourniquet is small. It fit over my thigh just fine, but I am a 5'2'' female that weighs 103 lbs so I have small legs. Just keep that in mind if your are a bigger guy. Obviously a tourniquet should be tight, but it may be too small for big men. I think it would be fine for an arm though. Overall I think this is a good kit and I will probably stow it in my vehicle. The package bag the kits arrived in was actually cut/torn open when It arrived at my door. So I don't know if that was the fault of the delivery driver, or if it was poor quality control from the manufacturer. Due to this I found 1 kit was still in the plastic wrap, and the other kit was not in it's plastic wrap and part of the black closures on the survival box itself was broken so it no longer seals shut. However, it may be the fault of the delivery person so I am not knocking the seller. But it would be nice to have a new empty black box so maybe I could seal my gear properly. Final thought: Get the kit for yourself or family member, you never know when you will need it.

I could survive with just this little kit

We bought one kit for each of our four children for Christmas. Constantly looking for ways to improve their 72 hour kits. This is the best little survival kit I’ve seen and I’ve looked at a lot of them. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

Amazing quality

I originally bought one but after seeing the quality of the product I had to get more as gifts! Amazing quality for such a good price. Much better equipped than other survival kits previously bought online.
