fun adult puzzle

I bought and built the Air Vehicle Kit puzzle. This is not something you can build in a day. it will a a week or two. It has a few extra parts just in case you break one. Get a small bottle of wood glue, you will need it. The gluing takes up most of the time but it is structurally needed. I bought this puzzle for a Christmas gift. I wish they were less expensive, I would build them all.

Great Marble Run -

My daughter love this marble run. It does take some time to build go slow and make sure your assembling the marble run correctly the instructions are mediocre.

Nice project for an inside day. Took a bit over 3 hours

This project took me about 3 hours. I was not rushing and was not focused on this to the point of ignoring others but was involved. Directions are pretty clear but I needed to examine several steps closely to ensure I had things correctly positioned. Instructions say to load 5 balls but for some reason, mine came with 10. However, if I put more than 5 in, the weight of the ones in the elevator queue will cause the front ones to be forced under the elevator. So, only load in 5 no matter how many come with it.

SO COOL.

Took about 3 hours as we took our time, but the little girl (11) and I had a great time assembling then playing with the marble run. She would punch out the balsa wood parts and then I would show her where to put them. She would guess how each section would work as we went along and she learned about gears and cam rollers, alternators and push rods. When it was all done it worked perfectly. No glue involved. Better than Legos.

Could not be more fun!

I got this for as a gift for a friend of mine who loves doing these types of things. He had a great time assembling it and said it was very well-made. I may have to get one of these for myself. And the good thing is it actually works! I would recommend this to anyone who loves putting things together.

Good project !

Quality! Instructions are good, care required removing parts from sheet but care pays off. I only glued 2 spots. Worked good first try. Use all 10 marbles, they double up on the stairs and go both directions! Take your time and enjoy!

entertaining!

I got this for my teenage daughter. She struggled with two pieces that she said weren't cut exactly correct, but she managed to fix it and assemble it fully and get it working! She's super proud of her achievement and had fun watching the balls get picked up and work through the course :) It's also much quieter than the builder events she used to go to as a young kid.

Top notch kit

Excellent quality of parts and instructions. Take your time to carefully read each step as some of the assemblies look similar but differ slightly. Use thin CA to glue final assemblies together when you are SURE that you have assembled accurately. Lot of fun to build, use, and display.

Great 3-dimensional puzzle for the engineering minded child!

We got this for our 17-year old son. We weren't sure if it would be age appropriate given he is almost an adult. We were pleasantly surprised! He was so engaged in putting this together AND making sure it worked! I would highly recommend this for kids 12+. We will be looking for another one.

Wonderful mechanical product, even for a picky mechanical engineer!

My husband is a mechanical engineer, and he is absolutely THRILLED with this mechanism. He and my 5 year old have been putting this together for about 4.5hrs now (they are almost done) and my husband keeps exclaiming things like "This is so well designed!" and "This is so clever!" I get an A+ for gift giving and he has had a blast! The package arrived in perfect condition and the pieces in the inside were well made and packaged. The instructions appear to be clear. My husband says that after my son is done playing with it he is excited to bring it into work to show the other engineers.
