The main advantage that made me choose this over other small lamp options is that it is rechargeable. And the lower light setting is perfect for when I have to get work done before sleeping, but my girlfriend really prefers me to be in bed next to her instead of outside at a desk when she goes to bed earlier - and I now don’t have to have a whole lamp on to see my keyboard (which isn’t back-lit). And the review saying how the p art round your neck doesn’t pinch or weigh heavily on small areas of your neck are true - I was REALLY happy when this was actually the case after a few days of using it - I’m usually working for an extra 30-45 min every night. And the lamp holds a charge for several hours, so that’s ONE less device I have to plug in every day - which, I know, first-world problem - but still, it’s a definite pro. I wish I had had this for the hurricanes we had here in Florida in September - this is MUCH lighter and easier to use than a headlamp in the house. So I’m sure I’ll get even more use out of it this fall. I can definitely see myself recommending this to friends as well.

Awesome light! I'm finally hands free when reading to the little ones. It used to be so difficult to hold a large picture story in one hand, a child under the other arm, and propping a small flashlight on my chest - only to have the light constantly shifting around. I was extremely happy to learn that I can lay down in bed and use this, without any discomfort behind the neck. I've also used it as a hands free way to take the dogs out back at night. If it ever breaks, I'll be right back here purchasing another one. Quality seems really good. Thinking back, I've only ever charged this once, maybe twice, since I've had it (a few weeks) and I use it every night for at least 20 mins. The built in battery lasts a long time! Highly recommended.

I absolutely LOVE this neck light! I love that it has different coloured light settings and that I can use one side at a time. It really illuminates the whole page but doesn't light up the room. I've included two photos - one with the warm setting and one with the LED coloured setting. I typically use one side on the warm setting and the battery lasts for weeks. I don't wear it when it is charging because it gets warm. Very much worth the money!

The Ledgle hands free light is a must have for anyone who likes to read. Especially if you like to read at night. Let’s start with the different lighting options. You can set it to project either a spotlight or a floodlight depending on what you need. These two light features along with the flexible arms make it super versatile and can deliver results in different of situations. If you are reading on a plane, in a car on a long drive, or in your bed, you can be sure you’ll have just the right amount of light to read and not annoy your companion. The rechargeable design saves you from buying batteries. It has a built-in lithium battery that gives you long lasting results. I have yet to run the battery down after 4 nights of reading. I charge it once a week now and I am good all week. It is light enough that I don’t even notice it on my neck while in bed reading. You don’t have to use it on your neck either. You can coil it up and set it on a table or on your lap. The Ledgle hands free light is one of those things that once you have it you wonder how you got by without it. Excellent quality and well-built you won’t be disappointed.

These are nice when you don't want to light up the whole room to read or have lights off to eventually fall asleep while reading. The 6 levels of brightness is a bit misleading as well. The light basically has 2 lights on each side, both controlled with their own power selector. This allows you to have the bottom, top or both on at same time. This is technically 6 different positions but it doesn't actually change the light layout in any way. They are basically on at low or high, left or right or both sides at same time. I was thinking I would get 6 different levels of brightness but that is not the case. They are still very handy and can use in many situations rather than just reading. Any situation that requires light where there is none or limited light. Some situations I thought of: Working/checking things underneath your car hood in the dark. Walking after the sun has gone down, to make sure cars know you are on the street. Working in tight spots or things that take 2 hands, these allow you to be hands free. Pretty much any low light/no light hands free situation these can be used for. They feel better than the head type lights with headbands in my opinion. I'm very satisfied with these and plan on giving a few pairs as presents since I think anyone can use them in some situation or another. The price is great when below 15$-20$, they are made very well and don't feel cheap or flimsy.

It's as light as a feather around my neck. It arrives with enough charge to turn ON, but when you plug it in using the mini-usb port, the red charging lights comes on, meaning it needs further charging. When the light turns green, you're fully charged. There are absolutely NO DIRECTIONS in the box, or on the box. So you'll need some techie chops. Nothing catastrophic here, but you need a unit of your own to plus the USB into, then attach the mini-usb end into the port on the unit. Just about everyone has a unit that comes with your smartphone wall charger. Now for the really good news: these lights really do a fantastic job! I purchased two of them so I can use one while charging the other. I will use mine mainly for knitting dark colors. Any knitter knows that using black, navy and other dark colors is a PITA. I own a floor OTT Lite, trained right over my knitting, but knitting with black is still a problem. I'm posting some photos of my current (black yarn) knitting using OTT Lite only, then using the Ledgle light with various settings.

This is a great little product! There are others out there that use batteries, but this one is rechargeable. It is so helpful when I am doing knitting or other needlework. I can now knit with dark colored yarns at night! THANK YOU!

I bought this so I could knit, or crochet, or embroider while I watch television (my comfy chair is too far from an outlet for a lamp). This thing is great. I hang it from my neck or from my collar, depending on what I'm doing. I use only one side of the light, and it gives focused brightness right where I need it. I do have to keep my work in front of the light, however, or it will shine on the television screen. Also, I live in a rural area, and we have regularly power outages. Now I won't have to hold a penlight in my mouth to read when the power goes out. I can see traveling with this, too. It gives much, much better light than that overhead light in the airplane. And it would be perfect for any passenger in a car. The only downside is how often I do have to recharge the light. I can use it for 2 1/2 hours five nights in a row. then I have to recharge (which isn't such a big issue, really).

For about 6 months now I've been thinking about buying a little book light that I can clip on to my headboard. My kids and I like to watch TV in my room on my bed but they like the light to be off. I usually am multitasking and typically am reading things, organizing things, etc. and I need a little bit of light. Even my bedside light is too much light for them. However, I had never seen just the right design that would make me feel like I would get enough light and where it wouldn't feel awkward to use. Then I came across this light where you put it around your neck and bend the ends to the angle that you need and I thought this might be just what I'm looking for. As it turns out, it works great. I get sufficient light to see everything that I need to see an even better, if I get up and walk around my light comes with me so I can still see when I'm doing when the room lights are off. I got to thinking that this would be great for those times where you need a spotlight on something that requires close up work. I think this is going to be very handy to have around the house.

This reading light has a lot of great features. Pros: *wraps around my neck for hands free use *each side of the light has its own on/off switch so I can use one side at a time or both for more light. *three Light settings: high beams, low beams, and both lights lit. *wire inside lights allows me to bend and hold light on a certain position *works both lying in bed or walking around *comes with a USB chord to charge the light Suggestions: * this light has very bright LEDs. When I use it to read in bed I only turn on one side with the low beams. This will actually allow me to use the light for a really long time without having to charge it. With both sides on it makes a great light to use for walking at night or to work on something in the dark without having to hold the light in one hand.
