Best Electric Starter I Have Owned

In the 50 years that I have been using an electric charcoal starter this one is by far the best. It heats quickly and most importantly does not roll after the charcoal is piled on it like the straight ones tend to so. It works well in my Weber kettle and is worth the price paid over the discount store varieties.

Heats up fast for quicker charcoal lighting

This was a replacement of another electric starter(different company) that had broken. I use this in my Big Green Egg and it's plenty long enough to fit in the firebowl to light the charcoal. I create a pile of lump charcoal over the starter so that more of the charcoal gets burning. I then scatter the pile around the rest of the lump to get even heat. This starter works quickly and fits my needs.

Effective lighter and angled handle is a differentiator

Effective lighter as I suspect most of these models are. However, the advancement on this model is the angled handle. I use mine frequently to light a Primo grill. With more traditional models, the handle is straight will get extremely hot from the coals and on a few occasions began to melt from the flames/coals. My last two lighters have needed to be replaced because the handle/cord eventually sustained too much damage and stopped working. The angled handle on this model prevents that from occurring.

After ruining 2 different charcoal starters, we finally found one that is perfectly designed! The long handle allows you to light the charcoal in a chimney WITHOUT melting the plastic handle like other inferior products. This is exactly what we were looking for!
