Great for cutting of frozen meat
This meat slicer is great for cutting of frozen meat, really easy to use and clean up is simple. Be careful for the blade, because it was really sharp. When cutting meat, press and hold the meat roll gently to the knife edge with your left hand, and hold the knife handle with your right hand and it must move vertically up and down,it is not allowed to move the handle to the left (the direction of the meat) during cutting process, which will deform the knife. I keep the diameter of the meat is 10 centimeters, freeze commonly 48 hours optimal, you can try to poke the meat with a fork,it's best if the fork can poke the meat effortlessly. The temperature of frozen meat is generally controlled at -10℃ to -15℃. If the meat is too hard, take the meat out and freeze it for a while before cutting it (note that when melting the meat, it is recommended to cover the frozen meat with a towel to avoid the fast melting of frozen meat and the difficulty of cutting the meat with a knife). It's easy to cut into any thickness of frozen meat you want.It takes some practise to figure out how to preprocess the meat and how to place it in the machine, but once you get it, it's quick and easy. The structure is solid and the sucker foot is fairly strong, so if you push too much horizontal force, it can still slide. Overall, it's a great units for the kitchen, so convenient and safe. Definitely, recommended!

This manual Frozen Meat Slicer is one of the best thing happened in my kitchen.
Best use to thin slice frozen meat for sukiyaki, shabushabu or bulgogi ... you name it. It is designed simple, safe and easy for maintenance. Packaging and manual may need an improvement. I am recommending this to all my friends.

Great tool for making thin-sliced meat and vegetables
I used the slicer to make thin-sliced eye of round for bulgogi, strips of pork belly for okonomiyaki, and potato chips. It takes a little practice to become proficient, but it's ultimately a lot easier to produce uniform slices than doing it by hand. Potatoes and carrots are easiest and I suggest practicing on these first. Also, I found the difficulty went up as the meat slices got thinner, but I was able to get the hang of it eventually and produce a reasonably thin slice. The clean up is not too bad, you can throw the whole thing in the sink. I would recommend removing the very sharp carbon steel blade and washing it separately. Dry it off and give it a light coat of vegetable oil so it doesn't corrode. I would not recommend using this for thick (1cm+) slices- the force required might damage the bed of the device. I think a knife would be about as easy for this kind of slicing, without having to freeze the meat and clean up the machine.

Using it to make Beef Jerky
I bought this to make thin beef jerky slices. It's perfect for that. After some trial and error, I've been able to produce some pretty good jerky. I buy eye of round roast and remove any fat, then cut them in half. I then put the halves in a freezer bag and freeze them solid. By cutting the roasts in half it makes it easier to slice with the grain. I slice them about a 1/8 of an inch thick. When they dry you'll have perfect thin jerky.
