18+ inches in Northern Michigan quickly cleared
Bought for cabin in Northern Michigan. Cleared 1 month of snow (18"+) and it worked great. I was able to keep it on a snow layer and clear the top 10 inches then the bottom older and harder 8 inches. It seems reasonably built but obviously anything that length is gonna have some bending and flexing and such. I was aware and cautious (didn't pry, ram, or force it to clear snow) and it withstood my first use (about 1500 sq ft of roof tops on 3 buildings). I'm not sure what more you could get for more than double the money but I don't regret buying the more cost effective option. This model is much faster than the shovel type rake as well. The snow piled up on the of the cloth but I guess that is part of it
