A useful addition for the kitchen

Simple, compact and easy to use. Got it recently and used it sparsely, so Durability is unknown but so far so good. Used it mostly for stewing. A usef addition for the kitchen.

The Dixtop Single Burner really cooks

This Dixtop Burner is simply great! It has four legs which makes it level to cook on. The cast iron top does not glow, but it gets very hot. It cycles on and off during cooking to maintain the temperature. It basically does what a stove top would do, without having to use the stove top. I really did not expect it to work so well, but it does. Sometimes you just stumble upon a winner. This is a winner.

Only had this item a short time but even at first glance you will find the packaging impressive. The cooktop has substantial weigh indicating solid material and manufacturing. It heats quickly and seems to hold reasonably constant. Overall I am very happy with the purchase. Since I am a son of the South, today I will be boiling peanuts using this cooktop. This will be the ultimate test. I have no doubt it will pass. I expect to buy another maybe even the double burner.

A Great hotplate

I bought this hotplate to use while our kitchen is being remodeled. It was perfect! Heats nicely, boils 2 cups of water in about 7 minutes. I use it to make pasta, oatmeal, and eggs. For a temporary kitchen, it is perfect. Some complained about it smoking. It says in the instructions, and the first time, there was a little smoke from it. But after that, I've used is many times and no problems. It does get hot, and I would Not leave it unattended. Overall, Highly recommend!

Most Powerful Electric Countertop Burner I Could Find

Some electric countertop burners are just downright anemic and won't even boil a medium saucepan of water. This guy has the power. It's got a temperature adjusting knob to control the heat level with a indicator light to let you know when it's actively heating. This was the high powered burner I'd been searching for.

Fantastic for Cast Iron Skillet

I own a glass cooktop stove. So, I am unable to use my cast iron skillet. I purchased this burner for my cast iron. I love it. Never thought I would need a 5th burner during holidays and big gatherings, but I use it now. Does not heat my counter top, cooks evenly and I can move my cast iron on the burner with no worries. Love it.

This is a great burner! I have used it every single day for months and am very happy! (my oven broke, in a rental and the landlord is awful and won't replace). This is really great!

Great Portable Burner

I bought 3 of these for a cooking competition. They worked great! We don't use them on a regular basis so I can't say how they hold up, but for a transportable burner, they were fantastic. We did make sure that they were all plugged into different outlets to avoid any issues, but they worked for cooking everything from meat to rice (boiled water). We were happy with them!
