Great shredder at great price. Not as loud as my old one. Does the job. I still put in one sheet at a time out of habit. Just to make sure I don’t shred an important piece by mistake. I did 6 sheets and eight sheets a few times and it worked effortlessly. Great addition to your home office.

GREAT shreader for the price!

I had several file cabinets worth of shredding to accomplish over a weekend. I did not want to spend $$$ on a shredder, so I opted for this model. I was concerned that it would overheat, but it worked like a champ! I shredded about 10-12 bins worth in one day and it NEVER overheated! It did jam a few times when I pushed the 12-sheet limit, but I was able to get that resolved. I do wish the bin was larger, but overall, I am very happy with this shredder and I think it is excellent for the ~$50 price point.

Good product

Shredder arrived on time, matches the description, and does a good job. I would recommend this product for the home office for occasional use, not a work horse, but great for the price.

A great buy

This is either my third or fourth shredder and I think so far my favorite. It is so quiet when you use it. I have only had this shredder around three months or so but, so far I really like it. Another think I like about this one is the window, it is easy to tell when you need to empty. Not easy to empty, like all shredders it is top heavy. All in all still a favorite.

Works as it should

The shredder does exactly what it says it will do and if you jam it, it's probably your own fault. This is great for destroying mail or personal information in moderation. This product would not work for politicians attempting to hide unscrupulous campaign finance histories.

seldom jams, it runs and runs.

been using it now for about two months and just yesterday did my old tax paper clean up to get rid of very old documents. I put about 5-6 pages at a time and find it just runs and runs, no jams and does not go into overheat shut down. Only issue if my own fault, I wish I had gotten the one with bigger bin because it does fill up fairly quickly. Overall very happy.

Useful Appliance

Does what it is advertised to do. Will shred multiple sheets at once. Storage bin is a bit small for me. The instructions advise that you do NOT leave it in auto-detect mode..... too bad because I find that to be its most useful feature

it really works, a good, solid, reliable shredder

I"m so glad I got this paper shredder. I'd had a shredder some years ago that was such a dud that I had a hard time imagining one working well for such a reasonable price. It's swift, efficient, and effective, and unlike the machines I shopped in Staples, it feels very solid. Now I can dispatch in seconds those papers that need to be destroyed.

Shreds paper. Provides peace of mind

For home use. This has a good safety mechanism to prevent the shredder from getting turned on unless it is firmly mounted on the plastic bin. It is able to shred 5 to 6 pages at a time even though it says 12 as the limit, i want to use it within a safe limit. I operated this for 30 to 45 min sessions multiple times emptying bin after bin and it never had any problems. When shredding envelopes, please make sure no bubble wrap gets into the machine

Working Flawlessly

Has been shredding up a storm for a month now without any issues or difficulty. I know these things often die but this one shows no signs of stopping. Pleased with the purchase + quality of this Amazon Basics product.
