Love this thing!!! Semi owner, and leave.it plugged in full time. Home just about every night and leave it on over night and so far the weekends too! So little power draw once it's loaded and everything inside is cool. When it just needs to maintain temperature, it's amazing! Add a few water bottles a day and by the end of the day have cycled through all of my waters... every one is just as cold as the others within an hour or so. Can't say enough. Tough shell too. Lots of room. Perfect for me in my situation. All the bumps of Chicago and still ticking. Love it!

I've had this frig/freezer for 14 days now and its been running the entire time. My Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited's old Die Hard battery wasn't up to the task of running this unit so I bought a new Optima Yellow Top combination starting/deep cycle battery and now the frig will run for 12 hours overnight in 90 degree high humidity weather and barely deplete the battery charge. We recently took this frig to Port Aransas on the Texas coast for five days and it performed flawlessly. we transported food and beer in the jeep, and once in the condo used it to store ice and ice cream. Now that we are back home we are using it to store beer, Beer doesn't freeze at 32 degrees so you can set this frig to 27-28 degrees and have beer way colder that you've been serving out of your kitchen refrigerator. I'll update our review in a couple of moths, but for now it's a thumbs up!

Got this in june 2019. We have been using it off and on last year on our RV.. couple week here and there.. Now the end of may 2020 we went fulltime in our RV and this has been in use full time. We use it as extra refrigerator space and for a place to put tall stuff. the unit on 12v. pulls some 3.5 amps. The temp setting is at 38 and it will go up to 40 before it come on and can go down to 36 when it turn off.. Be sure to check the reviews for the hidden setting info. https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R3BF0LCRFSOJ0K?ASIN=B073WYS3TR the unit has been sitting on the floor of our RV on the roads of NY, PA, OH, NH (lost 2 hub cap of truck and 2 off RV) so it has been beat around for the past 2.5 months and still keeps on running. It runs as either a cooler or freezer depending on your temp set point but not both. I have it plugged into my 12v port that is appx 12 ft from the batteries(12 ga wire) and the cord on the unit is appx 9 ft long and looks to be 12 ga so the voltage drop is appx 2.5 volts when running so if you set the battery protect setting at 12.5 it will shut off.. I put mine at the lowest which is 9.6v.. and have no issues with battery voltage down to 12.1 volts at battery. Overall for the most part it a good product that seem to be a tough cookie.. :) <<<>> UPDATE: so here we are in Dec of 2020 and some now 8K miles of RV travel with this sitting on teh floor bouncing around, sometime crazy stuff, and still going strong. I put some non slip stuff on the bottom to help keep it some sliding around when we travel.. the space inside has been a real treat when we go to like costco and have 3 containers of OJ and 2 Qts of milk to store when you have a 8CF refrigerator to begin with. you will get some moisture in the bottom over time so we pull everything out and give it a good clean every couple months and especially before a big trip to costco for sure. If i were to replace it I would go the larger 2 section unit the Alpicool T60 to more freezer space which reduces the refrigerator size by some. so far so good.. :)

I love this fridge! I have a campervan with a single 100ah AGM house battery. Thought this would drain my battery too fast. I was wrong. This fridge sips power. As long as I drive the van once a day, I don't even come close to draining battery. The fridge has a safety shut off for low voltage but never needed it. Spent 8 days in Glacier National Park with no ice. No soggy food. Plenty of cold drinks. No trips to the store for ice. Have since built a sliding tray for it to store under camper bed. Love it!

I have had this running for a few days so far in my camper van. It doesn't use much power and is quiet. I had a Dometic in my previous van so I have a reference point. I wasn't sure if I should get the C50 or the CF55. I think most get the CF55 because it has a bit more space at the same price. I chose the C50 for 3 reasons. 1) I wanted the option to be able to change the direction that the lid opens. This is done by moving the hinges using a screwdriver. 2) There is one big compartment not two. My Dometic had the little small area like the CF55. I didn't find it all that useful and would rather have 1 big area. 3) Smaller removable handles and not quite so long in size. I think the stainless exterior looks like, probably better than the other plastic ones. I think the controls are nice/easy/simple. I love that it displays battery voltage, my Dometic did not. Downsides: I put a thermometer inside, and there was a large swing in temperature inside when the unit was mostly empty. I didn't do this with the Dometic so I can't compare. I'm not concerned as it averages out, but if you need a real steady temp this might not be the best. I'm sure that it will be better when full. This is in Eco mode, haven't really tested to compare non Eco mode. I'll try again and post an update.

Work perfectly in both keeping food frozen and/or cold. I use it for camping or grocery runs. I really wish that it could have came with a small divider for the upper compartment (as seen in photo), it has notches like it’s supposed to have one, but I did not get anything. That would make a nice separation for more delicate food items. Overall, I love the unit and at a great price. ***UPDATE*** It’s now May 2020 and I’ve used this fridge for multiple camping trips and still runs fantastic! Freezes food excellent. I had to do one modification on the power plug, I switch between DC and AC adapters frequent and the brittle plastic clips that hold the power plug outlet on the fridge finally broke. I just fabricated a quick scrap metal fix in about 40 minutes and now it’s better than the original. I suggest doing the same now or wait until it snaps, but the fridge overall is still running perfect! Love it

Got this car refrigerator because I like to bring my own food when I hit the road and It's great for when I go camping...no more ice bags that melt. I've had the fridge for about 2 weeks now and cycled the unit a few times buy cooling it and then unplugging it a letting it reach room temp. In max mode it takes about 30 min to reach my set temp of 20 deg F. I put a mercury thermometer inside to check the temperature and it seems to match the set temp on the digital display. I also power the unit with my ( Jackery 240 portable generator) 12 volt DC outlet and let the unit run over night...no issues. The stainless body looks better than plastic but I will make a cover from a moving blanket for insulation and protection. The inside has just enough room for my food and drinks , and it's very quiet when the compressor is running. I hope this fridge last a while because I really like it and didn't have to spend a lot of $$$. I will update the review after my long trip next month.

I’ve had this fridge hooked up in my van for over one month with no issues. My only complaint is that I would like to be able to set the voltage protection to a specific value because the fridge shuts off using lithium batteries with lots of power remaining. If you’re using SLA, then this is great protection for your battery life. I wish the cover was available on the US market. Update, this fridge has been working nonstop for almost 8 weeks flawlessly in my camper van application. I currently have the temp set to 38 F. This keeps it in refrigerator mode, and cycles between 34 and 38 F. This system works great with my 35 ah battery, going several days without recharging. Today the LED light inside stopped working but doesn’t seem to be replaceable. Minus one star for that. Strangely, the same day, the LED light started working again. This malfunction occurred after I had the fridge turned off to clean it out.

I bought this to use in my teardrop trailer. It was placed on a slide out drawer and has been used with both the dc and the ac cords. It has worked great and is an amazing deal.

We purchased the 40 Liter size because of the dimensions of it fit the space we planned to keep it on our boat. We at first wished we could fit a larger size, as we didn't think this one would be big enough for one to two week cruising. Wow we couldn't be more wrong. This one holds so much stuff, we shouldn't have a problem at all! It also runs very quiet, and once it gets up to temperature, it hardly runs at all, provided you don't keep opening it to let the cold out. Although we didn't have the temperature set low enough to freeze water (we kept it at 38F) I'm sure it would be able to. We are actually thinking about getting another in one of the smallest sizes to use solely as a freezer. A great fridge at a reasonable price!
