I was actually surprised at all the supplies that came with this 3d pen! On top of that, it is much easier to use than I would have thought. It has different modes for the different types of media used, and tells you the temperature. It is powered by USB, but it should be known that this is not a rechargeable battery situation... It literally runs off of USB. I got this for myself for Christmas because I've always wanted one (since they came out, anyway.) And I've not been disappointed at all.

What a cool gift this is going to be! I got this for my daughter and had to try it out to make sure it will be something she can manage. I have never used a 3D pen and I can't wait to play with it more! This was my first attempt so I stuck with 2D for now. I didn't realize there were speed setting and it started coming out on the fastest speed and I panicked a bit. There is a bit of a learning curve to learn how and when to start and stop the flow, but it will be really fun to make things.

UPDATE: I was contacted by the vendor about resolving the issue that the filament does not feed well and It gets stuck in the pen. They offered me a refund or replacement to remedy this problem. I got a new replacement in a week and it works. They were very pleasant and accommodating when they didn't have to be. This seems to be a single bad experience, which they are correcting 100%. And their customer service is Excellent. Thank you.

Very fun!

Wow! This is so fun! My daughter loves making rings and necklaces from this and we made many Christmas ornaments too. It was a Christmas present and I was shocked at how many colors came with it. We have made coasters and mini houses. It doesn’t take long to heat up and the buttons on the front make it easy for anyone to use. I have used for over a month now and it’s still working great!

Creative and artistic toy for the kids

This is one of the exciting toys for the kids which we have purchased. As we all know, kids are always curious and excited about new gadgets/toys. This is 3d Pen is one of the cool gadgets for kids which will enhance their artistic skills. Most of us will not be able to get wonders out of this pen on day 1 but learn well after a couple of tries. The usage of the Pen is easy if you can have better control of your fine motor skills. Once, we have a good mind and hand coordination, it is fun to create cool things. I would recommend the 3d pen for around 8+ years kids as they will know how to create using a heated filament. They have included a booklet with simple designs which can be used to give a kick start. Also, a lot of 3d pen templates are available on the internet. The usage instructions are very clear and simple. Operating the pen like Loading/Unloading of the filament and changing speed is easy by the press of a button. Quality is good. The seller has provided 19 different colored filaments (6 of them are Glow which is fun). USB Charger is provided along with the kit which is useful. Packaging is good as the box is magnetic. Can be used as a good gift. As the Pen heats to around 180 degrees C, don't touch the tip of the pen and use the fingertips for safer operation. The packaging is very delicate, the contents of the manual are very detailed, and the video is searched for by the way. It looks very simple. In addition, the quality of this pen looks good, there are a lot of things attached, enough for me to play for a while, haha, I can't wait to test this pen quickly, I am looking forward to it.

Great gift

Great for Thanksgiving gift. It's easy to use. The fillament is quickly solid after come out of the pen but not fast enough to draw it in the midair. I recommend to draw on a surface first.

Revised: Works well

Revised: The seller reached out and sent a replacement unit. The new one does not eject its tip when the filament is advanced and works as expected. I bought this back in January for a visit from my grandson but we never used it. So I had a PLA print that had a stringy underside today so I thought I would break out this pen and use it to clean that up. It heated up OK, but when it fed the PLA filament the whole front of the thing pops out. A little bit of filament leaks but that's it. The whole tip assembly pops out every time you try to feed filament exposing the raw heating element. Thank God my grandson didn't use it. I would return it, but their return window closed 3/2 so I'm stuck with the junk. Maybe if I superglue it into place.. but then can superglue handle the heat? For $30 for such a simple device this shouldn't be happening.

A cool toy to play with with the kids

My 6 year old daughter and I spent hours playing with this 3d pen. It does take a bit of skill to use but after you get the hang of it you will love it. You can make all sorts of cool things with the included detailed instructions. My daughter made a flower, I made a 3d Christmas tree to use as a Christmas ornament on the tree next year. I also made a bicycle, a man, a girl, and another bicycle. It is easy to use the clear plastic sheet by placing it over pictures and tracing the images to make 3d images. The 3d pen comes with lots of plastic filament to get started including many different colors. The cord that comes with it is very short but I had many long android style power cables to use with it but I do recommend getting a longer cable because you have to plug it in to the wall to power it. It also includes a stand to place it on when it is hot and not in use at the moment. I would recommend this as a source of family entertainment for all ages starting at around 6 and up.

This is a game changing pen

This is one of the coolest pens I have ever seen or used. My little boy loves to create things and build using legos. We came across this pen and say that you can draw and create anything you can imagine and it works really well. If your kid or yourself loves to create build and draw this would be perfect for them. He has made 6 different structures so far and he still has tons of materials left to create. The 3d printing machines are over priced this pen is amazing and priced perfect. I am loving watching how creative this pen is making my son. In seeing how excited and proud he is of each creation is amazing. This is a great pen that I recommend to anyone that wants to buy something different and help their child be creative. You want the kids to leave the electronics alone get them one of these!!
