Saw this presentation on HSN was supposedly marked down from 50 to 25 for their birthday sale.plus 5 for SH. Came to PC to order and thought "wonder if Amazon has this?...so I checked.......yayyyyyyy.......20 and free SH...........PLUS the bread slicer (the orange one) was NOT in the HSN offer........needless to say I DID GOOD>>>LOL.....these knives are just FABULOUS........make your kitchen chores easier and get these....plus they make me smile with the pops of color 10 dollars cheaper and an extra knife..........Life is good with Amazon

Good for the money

I bought these knives in January. As of now (April 25), they are still sharp and in great condition. The sheaths that come with them are great, too, and I'm glad they were including for knife storage. Now, it's best to hand wash these knives and carefully dry them rather than throwing them in the dishwasher - this way, they don't wear as quickly. They cut smoothly every time and I've never felt as though they weren't worth the money. If you don't have a budget for expensive knives, these will definitely serve their purpose for the time being. They aren't high end knives that will last you ages, but with proper care you'll get good use of out them for sure. Overall, I'm satisfied. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Daily use

I bought these to replace my old set of knives. They also had covers and were color coded but different brand. These are much nicer than i anticipated. Bright colors easy to Hold grips and covers are better and easier to put on than my older set. Covers are a must for our house where children reach into drawers and grab things blindly. We use these daily. I do wish it had a second red one(littles one) we use this a TON. I even kept my older set’s small knife bc this size is the most useful for variety of cutting. Loved it so much I bought a set for my MIL.

If your looking just get them

These things are perfect for me. I'm no chef just an average dude who cooks tacos burgers n stuff like that. These knives are SHARP! color ate kind of cheesy to me but they cut with precision and my finger can verify that. These knives cut me to the white meat. However, I feel like I could filet a puffer fish to perfection

Excellent Value!

I have personally had these knives for almost 2 years now. I love how easily they cut through everything from bread, to tomatoes, to chicken, and more. They are very easy to clean, and are even dishwasher safe. I liked my knives so much, that I purchased sets for 5 of my friends, and 8 of my relatives. These sets made great Christmas gifts! I have seen them in a couple of catalogs for twice the price sold here. The people who received these knives as gifts have been really pleased with them, and have told me how much they like them. They may not be the same quality as a $100 knife set, but for the money, they are pretty awesome! I also like that they are different colors to help prevent cross-contamination when cutting meats and veggies. Also, they each have a plastic sleeve to protect the knives and prevent accidents in the drawer. I absolutely recommend these knives to everyone who likes to cook!

These knives are sharp in more ways than one.

I saw this set in a Buzzfeed article and bought it despite having an okay block set. I'm really glad I bought these. They are super sharp, versatile, and the guards are nice so I can keep the knives in a drawer. I still have the knife block but I use these most of the time. The fun colors are a plus and the price can't be beat. Although I'm not much of a cook, I think these are still plenty sufficient for most kitchens. It's a bummer having to hand-wash them but that's a first-world problem in the first degree. This would be an ideal gift for a new graduate/college student/housewarming.

OMG the best knives ever

OMG the best knives ever!!! I'll update this review in 6 months and let you know it they retain their sharpness Edit: I've had these knives for just about 1 year now (Got them for Christmas last year) and I'm still very happy with them. All the knives are used however; the chef knife and the paring knife get more use than any of them and they are as sharp as they were the day I got them. I've read reviews that said the paint was wearing off, but I've not had that issue with any of that. I NEVER put them in the dishwasher as I have read that the dishwasher dulls the blades of knives. I bought a set for a family member in May and she loves hers also. Now I'm considering ordering a set for my mother in law. Still in love with my knives.

Seem to be great knives for the price.. We shall see..

They say when it comes to knives you get what you pay for. I think that's true. Season I've had pretty good reviews. Or ceramic type knives these are inexpensive and the reviews being so good when I had took the plunge. They do work very well. As long as you follow the rules and never put them in the dishwasher and anxious to see how long they hold up. There is a way to sharpen them when the time comes. At this point I would recommend them.

Wonderful Knife Set

I bought these more based on the excellent price here on Amazon. I have plenty of other knives, but figured extras can always be handy (especially the smaller sized ones in this set) I am very satisfied with the size of the knives and how they work. (but I haven't used the red one yet) I use the smaller ones almost every day and they have had to be sharpened. My husband does that for me. He says they sharpen very easily. They stay sharp too, and I have not noticed any of the color coming off after he sharpens the blades. Its the only knife set I have that has protective covers, and I really like that feature. They wash very easily too by the way. The sizes in the set are all you'd ever need, so if you are looking for a good knife set at a great price I highly recommend these.

A Must-Have for Every Kitchen

I love this Cuisinart set! I'm updating my kitchen and needed a basic, all-around knife set and this one is pretty perfect. I love the color coding and the fact these all come with protective sheaths. I use these on a daily basis and absolutely love the santoku knife in this set. Food prep is SO much easier with a knife that gets the job done in seconds. The paring knife is my second favorite and really holds it own against some of the more expensive knives out there. For the price, you just can't beat this set.
