Wish I had this years ago
I love how easy this is to install and use. No more moving presents and getting on hands and knees to water the Christmas tree. I love it.

Pretty cool
It has a ball float valve of some sort that keeps the water level constant with a fraction of the maintenance. I could see trying it in the summer above the bird bath

Great
Really like how easy it is to use. We attached to the wall at the back of the tree with a command hook. Easy to refill.

One less hassle for the holidays
Two major values here: automation and lack of mess. In the past, even when I have remembered to water the tree I'd end up spilling half the water on the ground while trying to water the tree. This product is super helpful and gives me one less thing to think about during the busy holiday season.

An IV drip for you Christmas trees
This gadget makes it easy to keep our Christmas tree watered even when we head into the big city to do a bit of Christmas shopping. It holds over a liter of water and drips it into the Christmas tree bucket as needed, so we can keep the base of the tree wet for a day or two with one filling. This keeps our tree looking better, greener and with its needles on. The device itself is an IV drip bag leading to a level valve so that water only flows when the tree needs more. It's a great system. We raise the IV bag with a cheap camera tripod and cover it with a lurid Christmas blanket. It's hard to know it's there. We unscrew the cap on the IV bag, dump in some water and close it. Then, for the next day or two, as the water falls, water drips into the watering bucket. It's ingenious. (Our only complaint is that this year's model is made for people with metal tree stands. The float valve sticks to the base of the pan. This doesn't work with our plastic bucket and metal brace system. The older system used a post and a velcro strap. It would be nice to see that variant available again. For now, we'll roll our own variant.)

It works, easy to fill
Now that I have the Elf Logic, I would buy it to simply make it easier to fill the water. The tube is long enough to allow me to put the water in the tree at a height that allows me to stand to fill it. No more laying on the floor. I originally bought it to lengthen the time between watering.... which it does.

Best holiday purchase ever!
Well, best purchase short of the Krinner tree stand anyway. Such a simple concept and works so well. Inevitably our tree dies somewhere 2 weeks into the process because climbing under a wide branch spread with needles and ornaments getting knocked down you back, and presents getting squashed on accident is a pain in the butt. Or you forget a day, and next thing you know the bottom’s sealed. It’s a simple set up- a glorified IV bag with a hook to hang from branches, tubing to go down to the stand, and a one way valve/sensor to know when to release water. I wasn’t super trusting of the sensor, so I tested it out with the stand empty first. Didn’t want a huge puddle on the floor or ruined presents later! It worked perfectly. It also comes with a metal disc with adhesive on one side. The sensor is magnetized, and if you don’t have a metal stand, you’re supposed to stick it to the bottom of the stand to hold down the valve. This is pretty useless- the disc is 1.5cm large, and unless you have a very broad stand, you’re likely to find it’s covered by the trunk itself. The valve looked like it would stand in place by gravity alone but just to be sure I taped it down at the trunk to keep it secure. Lastly, the valve is roughly golf ball sized. If you don’t have wiggle room at the base between the sand well and your tree, it’s not for you. But if it is it’s great!

Really works
We had to leave for a week and this was perfect. It resembles an IV fluids bag and uses a similar process for steady watering. It kept our tree fresh while we were away and we used it all month!
