Not accurate at all.....UPDATE

I recently underwent surgery and needed to accurately monitor my temp. It's very easy to use with nice features, BUT, that means nothing if the temp isn't accurate. I used this thermometer along side 2 Braun thermometers and a good old-fashioned glass thermometer. This thermometer was consistently 1 - 1.5 degrees lower than my actual temp in ear mode and 2 degrees lower in forehead mode. UPDATE: Hobest contacted me after this review and offered to send me a replacement unit with their apologies. I accepted and have tested the new unit. This new unit IS accurate. I tested the new unit against 2 Braun units and a good glass thermometer and it's just as accurate and reproducable as the other thermometers. I really like it. It's fast - no waiting to take the temp. Nice backlit option. Forehead reading if you've got a squirmy young-one. I don't know why the first unit was inaccurate. I still have it and it still reads a degree lower. Thanks Hobest for the new unit and I highly recommend it.

Easy and accurate !

Awesome , is all I have to say about this product. I have a few thermometers at home and when I really need to use, none work well enough for little baby. With this one, I very easily took my daughter’s temperature by just swiping this thermometer across her forehead and sure enough she was running a fever. I did not have to place this thermometer inside her ear, just had to swipe it across her head and I immediately got her temperature. Great thermometer and easy to use.

Best thermometer!

I got this baby thermometer because the cheap one I had from the grocery store stopped working. Both my kids were sick recently and I decided to invest in a better quality thermometer. The price of this thermometer was still less than another one I saw at my local Walmart; so I decided to try it. I’m very glad did. First off the box has very clear concise instructions right on it. It comes with batteries already so all I had to do was insert batteries and we’re ready to go. It’s lightning fast and it comes with a memory button so you can keep track of the last temp. It also comes with a little pouch to keep it in. My favorite feature? You can take off the little forehead cover and it becomes an ear thermometer! And again the instructions!! There’s clear instructions PLUS pictures. It’s mommy with no sleep checking temps proof. You can’t mess up! I checked it against a friends $50 thermometer and this one matches the temps exactly in every situation and in a quarter of the time. Do yourself a favor and get one. And this is the best gift.

Not just for babies

I should have had this years ago! We don't have any babies and we still love this thermometer. It is so easy to use. The display is nice and big and lights up so you can take temperatures without turning on the lights. I also like that you can pull off the forehead cover to convert the thermometer into and ear thermometer. It also comes with a nice bag to keep it safe and clean. I definitely recommend this for any household!

Very useful if you have a baby

I have a 4 month old at home, I really need this thermometer to take his temperature quickly. The baby gets fuzzy if we take his temperature with old style thermometer. We also use it to measure temperature of his bottle when heating his milk. This one is worth every penny!

Easy to use for forehead and ear

This thermometer is really easy to use. Love the idea that I can use both on forehead and in the ear. It has the red and green screen to tell you if the temperature is successfully taken or not. Once you take off the cap, the thermometer automatically detect that and switch from forehead mode to ear mode.

A must have device at home

I bought this for my daughter who gave birth to my grandson two years ago. This device is the perfect little household gift. Every family, especially those with young children should always keep one handy. My daughter was very happy and pleased about it's compact outlook and most of all, it's readings are fast and accurate. I'm happy too.

Great thermometer

Non Contact Infrared Forehead Thermometer - 3-Modes Body/Surface/Room Temperature Reading Device - Baby Thermometer - LCD Display Infrared Thermometer - CE and FDA Approved is great. I like that you do not have to touch your head to get a reading and can also get the temperature of your room. Just point and click and within 2-5 seconds the temp will appear. So much easier than using the old type thermometers that you would have to put under your tongue, under your arm or with babies, a not so nice place. Plus there is no need to wake up the baby or person just to get a temp. They can just sleep throught it and it is so much faster. I definitely recommend this non contact infared forehead thermometer to family, friends and anyone else looking for a great thermometer.
