Mandatory upgrade for your ender!

An actual mandatory upgrade - the plastic that ships worh your ender will start to degrade and bend and shred as the filament passes through. The spring is better than the stock and will provide a consiatent grab. If not this than direct drive extruder.

Works great for flexable filament End 3

Great something that finally works tried setting to print flexable nothing even put it down to 10mm nada but this i set the temp for 228 nozzle and o bed with 40mm and add 1 wall lair

Perfect fit for the Ender 3

Had to replace the OEM plastic extruder after a few rolls of PLA. There was a deep slot worn from the filament. All the needed parts were there, everything fit smoothly and mounted on the printer exactly. Other than the slightly wonky video showing how to remove the original and install the new one, it was a 10 minute job with the tools provided in the Ender kit. I think the spring is stronger then the OEM one, I haven't needed to add a spacer and the prints have been very good quality.

Easy (and inexpensive) upgrade!

Parts came in, bolted up, and I started back to printing. I the pinion (gear) that came with the kit was much sharper than the OE part, which I think drives the filament better.

Highly recommended

A superb replacement for the stock plastic extruder that came with the Ender 3. Initial feeds are far more accurate and worrying about breaking the feed arm is a thing of the past.

The Nay Sayers in previous reviews were wrong.

This arrived on time, all parts (several extra screws were provided) were in the bag and the only thing it lacks is explicit instructions for installation. That being said, there are a TON of instructional videos concerning installing this upgrade on a Creality Ender 3 printer. I'm an almost complete newbie to 3D printing so I looked at a couple (no special one was better than any other I came across) and upon examining the parts decided there were no real pitfalls other than maybe insuring you don't cross-thread one of the screws when you install them. Use the supplied new screws as they are matched to the aluminum base and will be the right length. Be sure to use the same length and head type on the new screws as the ones you take out. Is this mod really necessary? I didn't think so at first but decided to do it anyway after watching some instructional videos on the internet. I've only had this Ender 3 for a little over 3 weeks and when I removed the plastic parts that came on the printer's extruder feed, I saw that the hole was already starting to wear and it wouldn't be too long before it started causing snags in the feed! If you don't do any other mods to your Ender 3 (possibly the other Creality printers such as the CR-10, etc.as well), do this one. You will not regret it in the long run!

Just do it!!

Installed on Ender 3 Pro and let me tell you this is a great upgrade. The feed clicking is gone. The hot end loves the more consistent feed. Smoother prints and less noise.......what more can you ask for!

Awesome kit, use printers original spring.

Awesome quality! But the spring that comes with this kit is worse then the original on the ender 3. The kit spring was not as strong and was easily deformed, so I just put the original in.

good quality and price

works great and the spring has lots of tension. the only negative I have is that the gear is a little bit bigger than the one that came with my printer so I was having some skipping.. could be that my sainsmart ender has different parts so it's probably no fault of this extruder .. I changed it back out with the stock one and all is well
