Great Projector!

I was honestly a little skeptical about getting this projector because it seemed a bit fishy that every one gave it 5 stars. But after using it for a week I can honestly say that it's more than worth the money! The picture is clear and the sound is great! The only thing is that the fan is a bit loud, but the sound of whatever I'm watching usually masks the fan noise so it's not really problem. Overall, it's very easy to use and the picture quality is great! I highly recommend.

I like it!

I bought this projector to watch videos in bed. Generally I'm very happy with it. I mounted it to the ceiling. Setup is easy and the user guide is clear. The image is clear. Image size is just right if you put the projector on side table and mount it to the ceiling. The only drawback is that the fan is a little loud, but it's tolerable. Generally I like it!

High quality, low price.

High quality, low price.The picture is great, really rich colors. Full1080p. I would not buy this projector for strict home theatre use, but for occasional entertainment use it is great for the price.It’s also perfect for business use or the movie night when travel, it’s really portable with a carrying bag and easy to set up. Great value

We wanted movie night in bed so we ordered this monitor. After seeing it, we think we could do much more than just movie nights. The packaging is really nice and the monitor is not bulky at all. You could easily bring it with you if you want a weekend getaway. It has most of the commonly used ports. even it does not have a builtin speaker, there is a AV jack you can use to connect external speaker. With 3m away from the projection screen, the picture size is about 80", which is good enough for bedroom, living room use. I can't demand more for such a price. if you are looking for a easy to carry, occasionally use, and small sized projector, you can't go wrong with this one.

Recommended for your first projector

After a great deal of information gathering and talking to those that have been into projectors for a while I can state the following with absolute confidence: NOTE! If you are in the classification of a videophile this is not for you. These comments are directed towards those just entering the projector arena or do not wish to spend mega $$$ on equipment to begin their quest. If you are looking at The Leisure 3 projector (I have one as well) I can tell you, the difference in quality from the Leisure to the 420 is astounding. For the extra $30 I would recommend purchasing the 420 and wait on the screen if money is an issue. It'll be worth the wait. I am currently using a $23 indoor/outdoor screen and it is working fabulous with this 420. The sound quality indoors is same as my TV. It will also be passable outside for small groups however like all mini projectors, a reasonable set of $40 speakers would not be a bad idea down the road. But it will be perfectly acceptable as it is. I have been able to begin movies outside 45 mins earlier due to it's brighter picture. I have not found a better buy for the quality you get with Vankyo brand anywhere out there.. I also use this projector indoors and can tell you that the picture quality is very good and well defined. My only small complaint is that unless you remove the height adjustment screw on the bottom there was no where to attach a tripod. I worry more about losing the adjustment screw. I can say that I am absolutely happy with this purchase and feel embarrassed I had the Leisure 3 for 4 weeks before I researched and upgraded. And please do not get me wrong, the Leisure 3 is a good projector as well, but for just a bit more $ the quality difference is well worth it and you will still be in that $100 range. This will be my go to projector for the future or until I decide I want to invest mega $$$ into a full home theater.

AWESOME!!!

I am blown away by the quality and overall ‘awesomeness’ of this projector! This is an item I never knew I needed, but without which I now never want to be! I purchased this projector along with the recommended Vankyo 120 in. projection screen as a birthday gift for my husband, thinking he would enjoy watching big games with our son and hosting watch parties, as well as have a periodic home movie theater-feel watching action movies. Before purchasing, I spent a while researching and comparing different projectors, and I am SO HAPPY I chose this one! I LOVE that this projector is so versatile in terms of which media can be used with it and so user-friendly, with clear, minimal instructions. We tried this out yesterday, and when I realized I needed a lighting-to-HDMI adapter to play movies from our phones and iPads, I simply used the provided HDMI cord to hook the projector up to our Apple TV box instead. Setup was super easy and straightforward, and within seconds, we were watching movies on iTunes via Apple TV. Thanks to an impatient toddler, I didn’t even take the time to set up the projection screen. Yet, the picture quality and viewing experience were INCREDIBLE just projecting onto a white wall (at an awkward angle) and even during daylight!!! I can’t wait to see how amazing it’s going to be when we actually get to use the screen! Overall, this was an awesome purchase, and is fun for the whole family!!! Even if you have large, high-quality TVs, there is something different and special about the movie-projection experience...I highly recommend!!!

Surprisingly well made projector

I ordered the Vankyo 420 projector and I certainly was pleased when it arrived. The compact design is perfect to take anywhere. The company stands behind their product with a 3 year warranty. Customer Service staff answered all of my questions promptly, and guided me through the process of determining which projector would fit my needs the best. Great price. Great product. Great customer service staff.
