Very good compact action camera

I mainly used the camera for snorkeling. I had a GoPro session and able to compare the picture quality and the video quality between the two camera. They are comparable and about the same quality. However, this 4k camera offers much more like the LCD in the back, affordable price with many accessories. The only complain is the LCD is not bright enough under the sun or under the water. It's hard to see it's recording or not due to the dim LCD screen. Can't see the recording red dot on the screen. Another issue I have faced it is the Akaso App is not able to view the big video file from the camera (about 20mins). It freezes up the camera when I try to view them from the app on my iphone. I hope a new version of the app or firmware can fix those two issues (adjust the LCD screen brightness and handle long video files better in the app). Overall, it's still a good buy consider the low price to the GoPro hero 7.

Sweet deal - a great value for the money

Got my new camera and really like the new features (adjustable view angle, voice control and 8x zoom) that my v50 did not. 1. View angle adjusts (wide/medium/narrow). 2. Voice control is achieved via the wrist remote control for only 4 functions ( start/stop video, take photo or turn off camera). 3. 8x zoom (my favorite feauture) is adjusted with up/down buttons on side of camera. Other notes: 1. There are alot of features and accessories for both cameras which I am still trying to find opportunities to try (Disclosure: I am not action-sports-able) 2. I plan to use (both cameras) for travel - and like that they use the same batteries and accessories. 3. Auto Low Light and Exposure Settings are handy for indoor or bright background portraits. 4. Great customer service! I have received responses in less than 10 minutes (Hint: I email in the evening from PST zone, and their email is time stamped about 12 hrs different) 5. These cameras are great value for the money.

Make sure that you obtain a high speed micro SD that supports 4K video

Great Action Camera for the money! I was a Gro Pro Man before my Hero 5 kicked the bucket. I decided to give Akaso V50 Elite a shot and boy am I impressed. The image stability is top notch and the quality of the pics in all video modes are top notch. Video quality is good as well. Im happr with my purchase and I will recommend to anyone who wants quality without the high price. It may not be labeled a Go Pro but the people viewing your footage wont even know the difference.

Excelente camara. calidad -precio

Excelente camara. Muy resistente, cayó de 20 metros de altura sujeta a un drone, la cámara se desprendió y cayó en concreto, se abrió del golpe y los soportes de tornillos internos se desprendieron pero la cámara seguía grabando, aunque la memoria se dobló del impacto y no funcionó mas. La cámara sigue funcionando como si nada. Excelente equipo. con inmejorable calidad de imagen tanto en video como en fotografía.

Great Action and Water Camera

I bought the Akaso V50 Elite because the GO Pro 7 black was so expensive and did not include the water proof case. The Akaso has all the same features as the go pro. I wanted a water proof camera because I was going diving in Belize and to the Big Blue Hole. The camera did not disappoint, it took great photos and video and easy to use. It comes with two batteries w/charger good battery time depends on how much video some attachments. I did buy the go pro wrist attachment which did work well while diving kept my hands free. It did not leak even at 144 ft down at the Big Blue Hole. This camera is totally worth the money and a great buy. It also has an app so you can wifi to your phone to view. I could not see my videos on my S9+ but it is 4K I suspect that is why.

GoPro-ish perfect for holidays/sports

I was looking for a GoPro since that one is the most popular action camera in the market but I wasn't going to get the most out of it using the camera just on holidays and doing sports occasionally, saving around 300euros. On top of that, the cost of extra batteries, diving accessories, etc AKASO V50 Elite has everything you need as soon as you are unboxing. Decent EIS which is quite important to me. Pros: Ready-to-go with the most common accessories and 2 batteries. Touch screen, iPhone app being able to select all the settings remotely, BT remote control, EIS recording 4k30fps and 1080P60fps videos, and 20MP photos.

Great update to Akaso V50

First off I would like to say that I'm an oudoorman and use the camera for hunting, fishing and four wheeling. I just upgraded from the V50 to V50 elite. Here are some of my observations: Video quality at 4k 60 FPS is superb. I use a headmount strap and just let it run during my ATV trips. Unit was supplied with charger and two batteries. The waterproof case is of quality build with stainess steel access buttons. Had no issues with water getting in. So far I am very pleased with my choice picking Akaso V50 Elite. It also has voice control which I plan on using, along with the continue loop as a car cam. Will keep you posted.

4k 60fps, image stabilization, cant beat it!

The Akaso v50 elite performs just as good as most high end action cameras (like gopro) at a cheaper price. So you might as well just buy multiple of these vs. one gopro. The camera is packed with tons of features and accessories that you may not even use! The 4k60fps is a great spec that some high end cameras do not even have. The image stabilization is great to improve handheld shooting, but won't be as good as a gimbal. If you do use a gimbal with it, the camera will be able to achieve smooth footage very easily. It works underwater, like most action cams. It can be used as a dash cam, which isn't what ill be using it for, but a nice feature nonetheless. Has voice controls, a remote control, good if you don't have direct access to the camera. Comes with a ton of mounts, 2 batteries. The camera itself is a good size/form, like most action cams. At the price, you really can't go wrong, it easily competes with higher end cameras!

Awesome camera!

I am very happy with this camera. I tried a cheaper model from a different manufacturer that claimed 4k, but the picture was truly terrible, so I returned it and bought the Akaso V50 Elite instead. The video quality with camera is wildly better at any resolution setting. The separate battery charger is a welcome addition as well.
